This is a standard CVS. The service varies but everyone is generally friendly, and they're rarely out of something I'm looking for.

What to do when you're tired from running 50 miles 6 hours before and you're monster hungry while…read moretrying to be budget friendly? From the Quality Inn hotel, I walked to this Walgreens, which was a godsend. Thankful for Walgreens for being the neighborhood super store without being a CVS or a Walmart. The ease of not walking extra in a Walmart was nice here in this Walgreens in downtown Charleston, West Virginia. I arrived here around 2pm after my friend dropped me off at the hotel. Being Sunday, I wasn't sure what's open. Thankfully, Walgreens was open and I just walked in and proceeded to shop around. I ended up with a few items that basically helped me with my meals for the day without being too pricey. The overall experience took me around 20 minutes from start to finish. The Walgreens is set up perfectly so I don't have to walk around too much for what I needed to get. Walgreens is priced competitively, but nice to have when you need a single or two items without needing to buy in bulk. Perfect for those who need that daily functionality. Walgreens tries to carry what most people need on a daily basis. Although I was from out of town, the store clerk asked me if I was a member of Walgreens. I rarely go into Walgreens at home, so I said no. I then paid for my purchase and headed back to the hotel. Thanks Walgreens for being there when I needed you to be open. The service here was good and typical at the same time. Thanks for being open on a Sunday. The overall experience here at this Walgreens location in downtown Charleston, West Virginia was pretty good and convenient. While it was about a 0.5 mile walk from the hotel, or felt like 0.5 miles, it was necessary to procure the items I needed. The store itself is organized meticulously and the store itself was sparkling new like it was kept up daily. The ambiance when I was there was quiet being that it was a Sunday. It was a chill vibe while in the store. I enjoyed the fact that this Walgreens was in walking distance and the experience was as typical as you can get on any given day. The items I purchased were several cans of processed soups that's ready to eat, bread, and Nutella. Along with some bottled sodas and ice cream, it was a definitely a nice lunch and dinner, along with dessert for my last night in Charleston, West Virginia before flying home. For the most part though, shopping at Walgreens while on vacation was interesting, but not uncommon. I'm sure many do, but not on a Sunday. If you ever need your daily essentials and happen to be in downtown Charleston, West Virginia, consider coming to this Walgreens to get it. This Walgreens location is physically located at 1301 Washington Street E in downtown Charleston, West Virginia. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, they have a generous parking lot that features premium parking for maybe 30 available cars. If you are like me and prefer public transportation, consider the local area bus routes that you need to take you here and go from there. Or walking is a good choice too, depending on where you start from. And of course, there's always Uber or Lyft that can take you here quickly, but there's always a price for their services. No matter how you get here, consider shopping here at this Walgreens because it's pretty cool and they should have what you need. Thanks Walgreens. You are awesome. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Mostly for being in walking distance from my hotel and having the items I needed. Support local! A+

The guy at the register was the exact opposite. Literally didn't look at me, address me or respond to me. He was too busy yelling across the store about taking his "30".
