CVS Pharmacy - claiming to be the largest pharmaceutical company in the country, possibly the world, has much to teach its Chippewa, PA employees when it comes to customer service. I walked in today to purchase a few items. The cashier scanned my card and bag tag and then proceeded to ask if my items were going to be put in my reusable bag, which I did not have with me today. I forgot I needed to go to that store today and neglected to take my bag with me. The cashier then REPRIMANDED me, the customer, in front of other customers, pointing out that the bag and tag (which by the way you must purchase separately for a combined purchase price between $4-$8 min), must be used together in order to accumulate your $1 rebate (a store extrabucks coupon) which you receive after 4 visits/purchases done at CVS locations. She almost made me carry all of my items out in my hand instead of her placing them in a .05 plastic bag (if it is valued at that much) after I purchased $15 worth of products. Other CVS locations have been so kind if I have forgotten my reusable bag in the past. In fact, being a frequent visitor to the CVS Cranberry Twp, PA location I have seen cashiers go out of their way to help customers which is the total opposite of the service I received at the Chippewa store. Makes me wonder if I need to stop going to CVS altogether! read more
