Animal Haven Veterinary Clinic - Waiting Room

Dr. Altman and her team are THE BEST! I had to take my new cat in last minute to get her shots…read morebefore I move away to Washington and based on reviews I saw for Animal Haven on yelp, I sent an appointment request on their website. Immediately the next day I had an e-mail from Allison with some time suggetsions; unfortunately none of those times worked for me. A day passed before I was going to e-mail back and let them know that I had to get her in somewhere urgently and would have to find another place, but I woke up to another e-mail from Allison letting me know they had a last minute opening if I was able to come in. I called right away to confirm it was still available and got my sweet cat, Tomato, in that day. I was so impressed that she remembered that I was trying to get a last minute appt, and reached out about their opening. All of the women working there were so kind and patient with my little Tomato and I believe they made the experience as least stressful as possible for her. Two days later they sent an e-mail checking in on my girl. The location of the clinic is a little far down College, towards Loveland, but it was 100% worth the drive. I'm so sad that I'm going to be leaving the Fort... I wish that I could take Dr. Altman and her team with me to Seattle and I'm sure Tomato does as well. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this team for any of your pet's veterinary needs. There might be cheaper places to get vaccinations and stuff done, like various low-cost clinics, but I do believe that you get what you pay for as far as experience goes for your pet and I'd rather know that my cat is in the loving hands of a veterinarian who knows me and cares about my baby. Thank you, Dr. Altman and team!

Awesome pet clinic! The staff is welcoming, warm and friendly! I would definitely recommend.read more

They were super nice, and warm, and totally not pretentious, which I like. So that's all fine and dandy, but, I took in my other two cats yesterday, and Ginny (Jenny?) not only has a fantastic sense of color but also was totally not making it up when she claimed to be "the cat whisperer"; my big sweet T-Bone who, like, can't cope in strange circumstance was totes cool with her- like, I was jealous (glad, mostly, but c'mon). AND they were more than obliging to treat T-Bone in the sink where he had sought refuge. Sad as it is to say, not all vets are kind people, really. With this practice I would venture to say that all of their employees are.

For many years I've always given BTAH rave reviews but I'm not sure what has happened there…read more Stike one: a couple of years ago I had a two year old Brittany that had a serious problem Dr. Wiltz couldn't find anything. He decided to do a tick panel. Never heard from them. That was on a Monday on Friday I decided that I needed to take him VCA. They discovered a seed in his ear. They gave him all the blood that they had. They couldn't keep his blood red cell count up. He died on my lap at 1:00 am only 14 hrs. after I took him in. Stike two: This past spring my thirteen year old Brittany had a gagging cough. Tami at the front desk immediatly diagnosed over the phone as kennel cough even though he was current on his shots. Antibiotics prescribed. No difference. It turned out to be a heart issue which I now try to control with two medictions. Strike three: I was charged for a heartworm test on my 12 month old. She was taken back to lab and returned 37 seconds later. Strike four: The front desk never acknowledged you anymore when you come in or leave. No hello how are you doing? I spent over $2,000 in there in less than 3 weeks on both of my dogs and not once did I hear a Thank You. Strike five: I decided to go to a different Veterinarian Clinic that came highly recommended. They did radiographs for his heart. Supposedly these were done only two weeks earlier at BTAH. I was shocked when They told me and showed me that my dog has lung cancer also. Why wasn't this diagnosed two weeks earlier? How sad to see a BTAH go do the tubes like this.
