Our A/C unit was not working, so we called several HVAC companies to get quotes. Turns out we had…read moreto replace our air conditioner, so we got some more quotes. ProFlo gave us a price both for repair or replacement, whatever we decided to do. Their price was considerably less then some of their larger competitors; so much so that we decided to replace the full HVAC system for almost less $ then the AC replacement alone from the other companies. Flo in the office was very responsive, and Ted and his employees were professional, prompt, and very clean. They completed the install quickly (within 1 day of calling) and it works great. We highly recommend ProFlo, a small family-run business that does the work of larger companies on a much more economical scale. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

The owner, Dennis, came to my house to give a quote which was very reasonable. The next day two employees showed up. They were nice, made me feel comfortable, and didn't waste time at my house. I'm very satisfied with my service. Dennis and his employees are very honest, friendly, and hard working.

My AC kept tripping the breaker last night even after resetting it. I'm not a "handy" man by any…read moremeans, so instead of trying to diagnose the problem and potentially burning down my house or killing myself in the process, decided I'd call a professional just in case it was due to an issue with my unit. Not surprisingly, every HVAC company I called was booked solid, and others didn't even bother calling me back. Thank God Day Aire came through in the clutch. Dennis called me back right after I left a message on the answering machine and said he'd send a technician out by late morning. Around 2 hours later the HVAC tech, John, called me to say he was on his way. I was weary he'd try to convince me that I'd need to buy a new unit since mine is close to 30 years old, but he basically went through the list of differentials and started with the easiest fix first. After checking the outdoor unit's output and the furnace, he narrowed it down to a faulty breaker (what I initially thought too). After swapping the breaker out, he stayed around for another 20 minutes to make sure it wouldn't trip again, gave me his personal number in case the thing shut down after he left and even said he wouldn't charge me additional diagnostic fees if he had to come back. Overall I'm very satisfied with the service. Only negative is that at $79, it's about 30 bucks more for a diagnostic than another company I've used in the past that also provides great service, but unfortunately couldn't send out a guy till tomorrow. I guess the speedy house call makes up for it. Thanks again John and Dennis!

The electrician came out and told us that the job would cost at least $1000 because they would have to cut through the concrete. He did not give us a firm estimate because we knew that was much more than we were willing to spend. The electrician told us that there would be no charge since he didn't do anything. Imagine our surprise when we received a bill from Doherty Electric a week or so later for $65 for a "service call". When we spoke to them about it, they said they deserved something for coming out and looking at the outlet and breaker box. After some discussion we told them we would pay the bill and write a bad review about the experience. At that point the owner told us that he'd rather we didn't write a bad review and not to pay, but we sent the check anyway because we don't want another surprise bill from a collection company after they told us again there would be "no charge". I cannot speak to the quality of their work as their electrician didn't do any. But I would not recommend doing business with them unless you get everything in writing up front. They are not ethical or trustworthy.
