    Randy's Electric & Plumbing

Randy's Electric and Plumbing did an outstanding job installing my Tesla charger in my new garage…read more The quality of the work was top notch, and everything was done cleanly and professionally. The team was easy to work with, showed up on time, and made sure everything was set up perfectly before wrapping up. If you need electrical work done right the first time, I highly recommend Randy's.

This is my second Yelp review for Randy's Electric because my first one mysteriously vanished. I…read moredon't know how or why, but based on everything I've experienced, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to bury negative feedback. Their Google reviews are almost perfect -- yet everyone I've talked to says the exact same thing: their real-life service does NOT match their ratings. Maybe some reviews are real, but certainly not all. Now for my experience, which was absolutely infuriating: Jeremy came to my home and quoted me $2,700 just to convert two lights into ceiling fans and replace one GFCI outlet. The prices they charged were beyond ridiculous: $300 for ONE GFCI $150 for a simple light switch $500 EACH for two fan brackets ($1,000 total) -- brackets that cost $23 retail That's not a markup. That is taking advantage of people. Their behavior was just as bad as their pricing. They show all prices on an iPad. When I was on the phone asking someone if this sounded normal, Jeremy literally snatched the iPad out of my hand the second I finished talking. He guarded that iPad like his life depended on it because he knew the pricing was outrageous. Completely disrespectful and incredibly unprofessional. I asked for an itemized invoice with real part numbers and real labor charges. Jeremy told me, "I'll email it to you." I still have nothing. The only invoice I received was written in vague "units" -- a convenient way to avoid transparency and hide price gouging. And the worst of all: They quoted me $19,000 -- yes, NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS -- to upgrade my electrical panel from a split 60/120 amp setup to a standard 200 amp box. Other electricians quoted between $2,500-$4,500. Randy's Electric wasn't just high -- they were five to seven times the normal price. That is predatory and absolutely shameful. The owner even came out trying to justify the $500 brackets by saying they "add a yellow tag to every bracket." Later I learned that the yellow tag is just the manufacturer's tag that comes with the bracket. Nothing more. Another excuse. Another lie. Since this happened, I've talked to so many people -- and not a single person has had a positive experience with this company. Everyone says the same thing: overpriced, shady, rude, and preying on people who don't know electrical costs. Jeremy and the owner should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat people and for the way they conduct business. It is absolutely disgusting behavior. Randy's Electric preys on the unknowledgeable, the vulnerable, and the people who genuinely need help. Their lack of transparency, their predatory pricing, and their disrespect toward customers say everything you need to know. If this review stops even ONE person from being taken advantage of the way I was, then it's worth writing twice -- because Yelp deleted the first one. I will NEVER use Randy's Electric again, and I strongly warn anyone considering them: Run the other way. Do not let them take advantage of you the way they did to me.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and I'd request Keith and his assistant, two very decent guys and great electricians. Not happy with my experience when looking at the full picture. I had a hot tub panel install on…read more11/2020 and paid a premium for it due to the holiday season and booking backups. They had an opening and a good rating online, so we decided to go with them. This March (3/2026) as I was freshening up my hot tub for spring, I noticed that only half the jets were working on only one side of the tub. I started troubleshooting what might be the issue and eventually made my way to the electrical box for the hot tub unit. I opened it up and noticed what looked like corrosion on the key/plug. When I pulled it out and gave it a closer look, I noticed that 3/4 main wires were completely fried or corroded. Yikes, that is probably the issue. When I called Mr. Electric's service center, I was met with no concern (Oh my, that doesn't sound good - yeah, you think?) and no offer to come out and inspect the work and then repair the issue (past the warranty period), just that another technician could come out and do the repair work for us. Why would I pay for your techs to come out when I'm experiencing shoddy work from you guys already? I pay a professional to do the job right, the first time around, so that I don't have to get things re-done and spend more money. With the track record I already had with them, I opted to not re-hire. I instead went with my main HVAC/electrical/plumbing company who came out and repaired and cleaned everything up (and stands by their work every time). When talking to the electrician who came out, he mentioned the reason this whole thing happened was because the wires were not tightened correctly during the initial install, one of the wires became loose overtime, overheated and then fried the other ones. The box that housed the electrical unit was closed and always locked with a padlock (so that my kids wouldn't open it up and messed around with it). When I mentioned that to the electrician, he said it was probably a poor install from the get-go. I'm so glad I caught it when I did, I hate to think the harm this incompetent install could have caused to my house and family. Not sure if those loose & overheated wires could have caused a house fire but I wouldn't want to risk it regardless. I will never hire this company again.
