Mike's son, Jason, is really knowledgeable about wood floors but i cannot recommend because his…read moredad, Mike runs the business and he did not do a good job on my floor. There was a hole in the wood and he didn't fix it, he left a raised lip by the door which is a hazard- easy to trip on when walking out of the room, he left some really bad scars and discoloration on the floor, and it wasn't cost effective to do two floors. The living room floor was done well, but really upset about the office floor. I would hire Jason, but not Mike.

So I got an estimate from Mike Jr and decided to go with him. Just before the project started he…read morecalled and said his dad Mike senior, would do the job instead and that he's being doing floors a very long time. Ok great. Well trying to make a long story short, my floors turned out blotchy (which I told him so) and strange lines here and there. He offered no help. I'm assuming he left the color on longer in certain areas from trying to do too large an area at a time. And he left a pretty big gouge in my kitchen area with a piece of wood (splinter) sticking up so it catches on things. But I think the worst part is the stain he got on pretty much every wall in my house and on my white tile floors. I might have to repaint an entire wall because I'm not sure I have to color to do touch ups. I'll try to attach some pics. Also stain on my dishwasher (that won't come out), stain on a coffee table, stain on a white chair, stain on kitchen cabinets and I keep finding stain. I didn't know stain would stick to so many surfaces. He also left a big bag of garbage in my front yard in front of my house for 3 days. And do not expect any type of communication. He was at my house the first day for close to 11 hours, which would have been fine except I had no idea he would be there until 7:15 at night which might explain the stain everywhere due to rushing and it being close to dark and he was probable tired. If do decide to go with this company be sure to cover every inch of your house. There's also dust every where. I'm not sure why they tell people it's not very dusty. Dust is literally everywhere.

SCAM ALERT!!! Jason Vancil contacted me saying he got my contact info from Yelp. He was in a town…read moreabout 2 hours away. I was also away from home at the time he made contact. In a remarkably short time he said my roof had been examined by an unnamed roofer he knew in my town. Cutting to the chase, he needed a deposit of half the cost of the job - in this case, $1200. It was a high pressure, need-it-right-now push. Doing a little checking, I found a police report for credit card fraud and drug possession for Mr Vancil and sent it to him. He said it was someone else though it was in the small town where he lived. He went on pushing for advance payment. In fact, no one had been on my roof. His elaborate descriptions of the roof having been improperly installed were nonsense. I had called about a leak that another contractor later found to require glueing two shingles that had been slightly dislodged. Mr Vancil continued to text high pressure requests for payment for two days and even submitted a payment request to my bank for a different amount without telling me. My bank's fraud protection was triggered and they reached out to me. I've tried to talk to Yelp about this so that they could protect their consumers. They scolded me for calling their "business line ". There is no customer help. Buyer beware of Yelp business referrals AND Vancills Roofing.

I'm torn by this review because the installation of the product was professional and it turned out beautifully. It did take quite awhile for them to come to install, but that was understandable due to the high volume of need in my area. The problem I have with the business is that I sent several remnants of carpet with them to have rugs made for my home, and it has been 8 months and I have not gotten the rugs. I have made several calls to the business and was assured that progress was being made. The business has never contacted me in the 8 months. I even left a message asking them just to let me know if the remnants had been lost and there was no reply. The carpet was very expensive and had I known this would be the situation I would have gone with the company I originally purchased the carpet from.
