We had a mutual miscommunication which was quickly remedied by Jimka, the owner. I had my entire 2 bed 2 bath apartment painted (ceilings, walls, doors and trim, baseboards and I had drywall repairs). All of the work was done in 5 days, Mon-Fri, and I was able to contact Jimka for updates or concerns as the job was in the process and he addressed all of my concerns. I needed dry wall repairs for a big imperfection in one of my bedroom walls and for a hole in the living room to get filled, both have been addressed. The men were very courteous when arriving at our residence. Knocking at the house prior to starting work to let us know they were there. They were extremely knowledgeable, and notified us when they found any extra deficiencies pertaining to our roof. Informing us prior to any extra work or what the extra cost would be. They gave fair value for their services. The only issue I had was not with the workers, but the truck delivering the supplies as the driver they contracted didn't know what he was doing and drove on our lawn, very minor skid mark though. However I was very surprised as to how professional the Holland Roofing Services were, as I didn't even have to mention it to them, and they came and levelled the lawn and reseeded the very next day. When there work was completed on our home they left the place immaculate.They arrived with vacuums and any extra or additional debris was cleared up flawlessly. We purchased a $500 gift certificate at an auction and had an agreed upon the price and work to be…read moredone. They were really slow with responses but eventually came. After doing the work they ended up ruining some of our bushes and didn't even do all the work. When we brought up the missing work, and poor quality they immediately got defensive and started accusing us of a conspiracy to give them bad reviews. Really strange behavior. Instead of trying to fix the issue they decided to stay silent for months and only responded when we filled a complaint with BBB. At that point they got even more defensive and started saying we were difficult and when I catalogued our conversations, that were nice and pretty much ignored, they just said they have no more to say because they can't take the truth. As of right now they won't reimburse us and didn't file a proper response with the BBB but the BBB said they somehow answered in good faith, which they didn't. BBB doesn't seem to read what happened and the lack of effort of Rakes and Ladders to resolve the issue. Since this was a donation, they don't think they are liable to fulfill what we bought at the auction because they don't know how much we paid, which was almost full price. Either way, it shouldn't matter. If you donate something you are supposed to provide that service. I am still out my money and they are very unprofessional. Do not use them! I don't normally post bad reviews but this company behaved like a spoiled little child and got very aggressive. I am going to be raising this to the news so that we can get some traction and hopefully get our money back.
