THIS COMPANY IS AMAZING. We have been using CCM for over 5 years. We found them to rebuild our exhaust for our 2004 Yamaha 4 strokes dual 225s for our Grady White. This was NO easy job and they had to do it for BOTH engines. They have Hauled us out, Winterized, Wrapped AND DELIVERED our boat for the past 5 years. For the past 5 years including YESTERDAY they have launched us. We have needed work done in the past where they have hauled our boat out from our mooring, Fixed it and brought it back. Not many companies I know do that. They are AMAZING, FANTASTIC, AWESOME, And FAIR PRICED. If you have been around boats all your life, you know that repairs take time. It's not like going to a car dealership with 25 guys on staff to cater to your every need. When you find a Marine Mechanic that does great work, you hold on tight to them and treat them like GOLD. If your boat is your baby then treat the man taking care of your baby WELL. If you are a RUDE A**HOLE then please expect the same treatment in return. The guy ranting in the review below seems to be one of those guys. DEMANDING service but not being extremely clear of what he wants. You are a grown individual. You have the choice to go somewhere else if the mechanic will not give you an estimate or put things in writing for you. Verbal requests without written confirmation? That's on you!! He seems to purchase aftermarket Crap and then blames the mechanic when the boat runs poorly. We all know that if you buy CRAPPY parts to save money then you run the risk of your baby running CRAPPY. Don't expect any type of warrantee for aftermarket parts. That's only common sense. Your boat is a LUXURY item so expect to pay a FAIR price to maintain and fix it. If you pull your boat out late in the season, then you run the risk of temperatures dipping below freezing before the mechanic can get to your project. Then in the middle of a Pandemic this guy DEMANDS service AGIAIN. Honestly, where does this guy get off treating others this way? This company is wonderful and I recommend them as long as you are an intelligent person who knows how to treat others. Additionally, Please look at the other reviews for John A. It's now almost July 2020. Sean has not contacted me and avoided every request to make any of this right. My boat has been pulled and is now at a certified marine repair shop. The shop will be repairing everything curtis marine worked on in the review below. The courts are still not open due to covid, as soon as they open I will be taking curtis marine to court. All Sean had to do was work with me on all his mistakes. He told me to go f$ck myself and hung up. I have texted and called him explaining pleading with him to replace the brand new ac unit he didn't winterize and fix the other problems. No luck. ASK AROUND IN IPSWICH ABOUT HIM. I've been a customer for over 6 years and they've always done a great job for me! CCM is a small business and the owner is a great guy who does great work at a fair price. He'll happily go out of his way to help you if you can and he's hooked me up several times over the years. For those complaining about customer service... it's a small business, they don't have a full time staff answering phones and emails. They're happy to help you out but if you expect big dealership customer service then you should go pay for it. I heartily recommend CCM. I just bought my first boat. A 28 foot Sea Ray with all the systems. Curtis was my first call for services such as winterizing, shrink wrap and hauling. They advertise constantly on Craigslist so they were the first to come to mind. The initial call was ok. At first the person who answered the phone did not seem to inclined to speak and guide a newbie to the boating world. From their they went downhill. I wanted to schedule my haul and they basically told me that where I was doing to the haul out was too far and not worth their time. Additionally, they were nearly $1000 over other quotes I received regarding winterization. Additionally, they were no where to be found when I called. I called another well known hauling company in Salisbury who was eager to make the trip to Salem, Ma. to haul me out. I ended up getting the engines pickled for $200 plus parts. So, all in all for a newer business that is spending a lot of time on Craigslist trying to get new business, I would say they have improvements that need to be made in customer service...or they will keep losing business to their more seasoned competitors. read more

Very poor response and service. Never get back to you despite saying they will. We were going to haul our boat--it was a $300 project--and had a few calls and then they didn't respond, finally responded and we arranged something and they didn't respond again so I dropped them. Great guys, good quality work! It surprises me to see some of these other reviews, I have had nothing but good experiences with Sean, he has been reliable and honest. On top of good service these guys do a top shelf job, I have dealt with quite a few marine "professionals" over the years and truthfully I am usually disappointed.
