The Luau at Grandscape was disappointing…read more They started out with dancers in cellophane skirts and coconut bras who were very entertaining. After the 1st round of dancing, they had their first hula lesson. Yes, hard to believe that they had 2 hula lessons. After the lesson, the dancers took a 30 minute break while the band serenaded us. Unfortunately, the band quickly ran out of Island songs. There were 3 guys playing. The singer played the ukulele but the bass player and drummer only played sometimes. Lots of people went home during the serenade. Hawaiian Bros had the only food booth (there were supposed to be lots of others). The line wasn't too long, maybe 30 people, but it did not move. No idea why, since their grinds were pre-made and just needed to be scooped into really small bowls. We've eaten at their restaurants so we knew they usually serve bigger helpings. Tahiti style dancing was much better. Their costumes looked authentic. Yes, we've been to many luaus. We reached the time for lively drumbeating but they spent too much time giving their drum "backstories" and a long "drum solo" without dancers. Finally, there was more dancing from Tahiti that was very good. The dancers knew their moves. We left when the 2nd break for the dancers started and the band serenaded us again. This was supposed to last 30 minutes and then we would get to see the dance with the LED lighted poi balls. This is one of the very few times we've left a show early at Grandscape.

A side note: the shower has some of the best shampoo and soap dispensers I've ever used. Service: The brunch restaurant's service is spotless. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with big smiles, warm welcomes, and attentive staff who regularly check in to make sure everything is perfect. Minimum amenities provided with no slippers, toothbrush or toothpaste, cotton pads.

First off, the French restaurant is amazing. My server Kudir said he was only on his second day at work there but his attentiveness and enthusiasm for his workplace seemed like he had been there forever. We hope to return to the restaurant again today and will request him. Food, wine, so good as well. Check in a room was amazing. Got upgraded to a huge room because I booked through Chase the Edit. No complaints. The value for what you get at this hotel is amazing. There's a courtesy car to take you anywhere within three miles for free. So cool! The decor; the vibe all 10/10. So much love and care and knowledge of antique and curation went into this hotel and it's meant to be SEEN, STAYED AT, EATEN AT, all of the above. Just finished my breakfast 10/10 eggs cooked perfect and hope to check out the pool tonight! Must stay!
