In contrast---when I go to NYC and see a Broadway performance I feel so let down by the cost. Ticket prices, train/travel, and parking in NYC total over $500....MTC is a fraction of the cost. MUSIC THEATRE OF CONNECTICUT is an amazing value and productions that make me want to go back again and again. What a hidden GEM. So lucky to have it right here in Fairfield County. I have also participated in three of the five summer alumni reviews, and my family members and friends continue to be part of the LVP community to this day. In short, my family and I are lifetime customers of LVP's product: a fun and high-quality musical and theatrical outlet in Northern Westchester. But in long, I have gained so much more from the LVP community. LVP is unique in Northern Westchester in its unparalleled programming, propelled by innovative and thought-provoking material and inspiring, fun, and caring personnel. Adam, Steph, Galit, Amy, Marcus, Jocelyn, and all members of the LVP faculty helped me to understand the difficult material we were working with, as well as helped me to loosen the chains of my timidness and to express myself in ways I never thought possible. Without question, LVP is one of the pivotal organizations in my life that helped me to define who I am. My wonderful experiences helped me to realize that I forever want to be part of the performing arts, and my returning to shows in the seven years since my graduation from LVP and seeing young students grow helped me to identify my passion for music education. I use much of what I learned from LVP faculty in my elementary music lessons in my career today. Overall, the artistic education I received at LVP is priceless, and in my returning to participate in alumni shows and in attending performances, I have seen that LVP in its growth and expansion has not lost sight of its goals of eleven years. I HIGHLY recommend LVP to any families in Central and Northern Westchester who want to participate in a meaningful and unique theatrical experience. I recommend it for those children that are shy and timid and looking for a safe environment to express themselves. Everyone I know who I have recruited to join LVP has been hooked for life, and I know you will too.

I had to take a few breaks and did not even see everything. It is quite a large Festival. There are places to stop and eat or at least there were last time I went. I would really recommend this Art Festival to anyone, especially Artists or fans of Art. You'll have a great time.

I took some private lessons with Anna and she was extremely patient and helpful in teaching me the basics of most of the styles of ballroom/latin. She was so much fun to learn from and talk to, and provided great humor throughout our lessons. My confidence on the dance floor has increased tremendously thanks to her! Meredith the manager is also fantastic - she made me feel welcome from the first moment I stepped into this studio. Despite coming in a little late for a salsa group lesson, she immediately accommodated me and taught me the salsa footwork before letting me join the class, so I would be all caught up! In my first class, Christine was so welcoming and caring - it is enthralling to be present in her passion to let everyone be immersed in the joy of pottery. Priscilla is the same in her compassion and knowledge. They are two wonderful women who allow this beautiful place to flourish with incredible art lovers from all walks of life. Members come from all over Fairfield county and beyond - I'm lucky it is in my town. Teaching pottery is difficult because everyone progresses differently and the instructors here do an amazing job or balancing the individual handholding and maintaining order of the class. While I work on my pieces, I get to observe some of the instructors whether they teach a group class or a private tutoring class. To share a few shoutouts: Safiya is fantastic with teens in boot camps - (I just learned that she is starting to teach Friday evening classes!) Julie also is a caring and competent teacher. Cass is an outstanding instructor with a wealth of knowledge; and Kate is such a sweetie, too! All Everyone is here because we love the joy of creativity and respect each other's artistic abilities. I enjoy conversations that accompany creating art across diverse age/gender/backgrounds here. There's something for everyone. Whether you are a tired parent looking for a mental health respite, an exhausted soul looking to enrich your artistic side, or to glimpse wonders in your own creation in general, I would recommend that you pay a visit and talk to the owners what you would like to do. I enrolled in Drawing Foundations recently and quickly decided it was not ideal. For $780.00…read moredollars I thought you would at least get a sketch pad because the site stated they provided the supplies. Nope, we got 2 sheets torn out by the instructor. The instructor also said the easels were from Bob Ross. So old they barely stood up. So I emailed to cancel and learned that the cancellation policy is not as clear as the admin. want you to believe. They advise that a class is $60.00, kind of leading you to think you can only pay for 1 class. But when you enroll you are presented with an installment plan (3 payments) or pay fully for the semester. When I tried to cancel via email I did not get a response so I texted Christine. She called 2 days later and said they had not received the email, but then magically Madeline said they did. Initially they wanted to refund me $20.00 for taking 1 class after paying $260.00. Since the math wasn't mathing I asked for an explanation. That's when I learned that I had to pay for the entire month even though I attended 1 class and the next week was a school holiday and there was no class. I was only able to get $80.00 as a refund. You will pay for the whole month whether you take all of the classes in that month or not. You cannot cancel and expect to pay for only one or two classes. Bottom line: shady and not worth the money.

At 5:50 an employee came out and let us (many groups of people, 40 total) know the captain canceled for an impending storm. As I write this 2 hrs later, the weather is as beautiful as it was then and never for a second looked like it was going to turn by any weather app I had. But don't worry, if this happens to you, an unprofessional teenage girl will call you to follow up and tell you that you get your $35 back. Thanks. I can't tell if it's a company run by a bunch of stupid teenagers, high relatives, or a mix of both. Something weird is going on. Can't recommend staying away enough.

The sail is 2 hours and you're able to see Manhattan across Long Island Sound if it's a clear day. Passengers are able to bring picnic foods and their own beer/wine type beverages aboard if they wish. The excursion was pretty low key which allowed for a relaxing atmosphere. The crew did a good job and if you had questions they were able to assist. Making reservations was easy on their website and if I visit again I'd love to take part in their sunset sailing cruise they offer, it just happened to be booked already. They have free parking and is a great experience for a great price. Would definitely recommend. I'm really glad I got to experience this during my time in CT.
