Curry Maffett Insurance is an independent multi-line insurance agency providing personal, business, life and heath coverage. The agency represents only the finest national and regional insurance companies in North America. Curry Rentals & Property Management Solutions provides commercial, residential and self-storage warehouse leasing and offers professional management services for third party owners. We provide the largest variety of rental properties available in the entire Heart of Georgia: single family homes, apartments, medical, office, retail, and warehouses. We can also entertain build-to-suits through our construction company, Palmetto Construction.

History

Established in 1902.

Since opening our doors in 1902, our family-owned company has stood for quality products and exceptional service. Our founder, Thomas A. Curry, Sr. saw a vision when he decided to start his own insurance agency at the age of 21. Shortly thereafter, he began offering real estate brokerage services, and Curry Companies was born. The business has grown and evolved over the past century, and now in the hands of third and fourth generation of Curry descendants, the company continues to share the same vision as its founder. Over and above the length of time the company has endured, all family members have been committed to providing exceptional service, industry expertise, and a commitment toward the community, customers and employees we serve.

Meet the Business Owner: Louie C.

Louie is the Broker for Coldwell Banker Curry Residential and Curry Commercial, he is an Agent and Chairman of the Board of Curry Insurance Agency, and he serves as President and CEO of Curry Companies. He is the grandson of the company's founder, T. A. Curry, Sr. Soon after earning BBA degrees in Real Estate and Urban Development & Insurance and Risk Management from the University of Georgia, he began his career with Cousins Properties in Atlanta where he also earned a MBA in Corporate Finance from Georgia State University. In 1976, Louie returned home to Dublin where he joined the family business. Louie has passion for education, and he has earned many industry certifications and designations. Throughout the years, he has been actively involved in the Dublin/Laurens County community where he has volunteered for community events and he has chaired many civic organizations. Louie is married to Ann, and they have three children, two of which have joined the family business.
