After touring at least 8 other daycares, we chose to go with Taney Ave. The location was perfect for us and the cost even better. Let me start by saying that Kindercare on Taney Avenue has been one of the best places for us and for our son. Every single teacher knows our name, and always greets us with a smile. When we drop our son off and he decides to have a tantrum, they immediately know what to do to make sure he is smiling within 30 seconds. We are kept up-to-date on his experience during the day and even get to see pictures of his activities. When we were having trouble transitioning him over from purees to solid foods, Kindercare helped us make the transition so much easier. He gets outside time and loves playing with the other children. He loves his teachers too! For a kid who is going through stranger danger phase, I've never seen him run to anyone like he does Ms. Vicky and Ms. Eva (besides our family). In situations where there is a problem (sickness, emergency, etc) Kindercare immediately informs us, even if he fell over and scraped his knee. We are always the first to know within less than a half hour of the situation. They keep us updated through phone call, email, and their app. If they are concerned at any time for his health, they are very straightforward about the situation. I have to say I appreciate that considering how much more experience they have than I do. I am grateful for every teacher and director at Kindercare on Taney Avenue and we will be so glad to see our son grow with them. Thank you all for making this a wonderful experience.

As a grandparent picking up my grandson there I would say the teaching staff was always lovely. I…read morewill also say to their detriment is that La Petite is concerned about their money first and foremost . My daughter gave a full time tuition. They made her sign a paper stating when the child would be dropped off/ picked up even though her work schedule was variable weekly ... and they knew that. If she arrived later than the time they made her state then they wouldn't allowy grandson to attend that day.,. Even though they received full time tuition. I quickly leadned that they did that to observe only necessary teacher - student ratios to pay the least hourly teacher wages possible. Also, many times at the end of the day, your child would be in another classroom because they had already sent your child's classroom teacher home and put them with another teacher until uou arrived .... Also to save them money. Management seems nice but is not transparent at ALL. Be wary. Get what you pay for and be sure to ask about full time tuition and open hours . Bonus : They also like to send kids home for any health reason they can imagine.

I can honestly say that I am beyond grateful for the family we have found at La Petite. The staff and teachers care. They love my daughter, they nurture her, they are shaping her to be a wonderful human during some of the most important developmental years of her life. It brings me joy to know that when she's not with me I can rest assured that she is still being loved and cared for by people who want to see her be happy and succeed in life. This place is an extension of home. I will be forever in their debt for helping me raise such a great kid.

It's disappointing, because as a mom and toddler, we have to pay $94 a month for the family plan (it's cheaper for a single parent and child over the age of 5), and then all that is offered is a single swim class for kids over 6 months, then a single gym class for kids over 18 months. It's not until 2 that you really can start getting use out of more of the classes. We do love the pool. Open swim times are very limited, so it can be tough to get there. Then if you are with a child under 18 who needs help, you are stuck using the children's locker room. The showers take 5 minutes to get warm, and the swim team kids and their colorful conversations disgust me. I would love to have a separate locker room for young children from the one for preteens! I am happy with the fun zone. If your child is independent, they will have a great time in there. Though my child loves the pool, he cries at having to walk away from the fun zone to get there. There are days and times that are better to be in there, but overall I love letting him go in to play. The open gym is great! I hate that there is an extra fee to use it though. It really should be included in your membership. That and the pool is all that is available to toddlers. It would be like having to pay an extra $3 each time an adult wanted to go into the gym and workout AFTER paying for the membership. It's expensive, there is a lot to be desired, but there isn't anything better in Frederick.

We had a couple years of positive experiences but something has changed dramatically recently. I…read morecould detail my many minor frustrations with the lack of communication and what seems to be intentional deceit with moving students between classes without notifying parents, but I feel the two major incidents that caused us to leave will speak for themselves: In the last week and a half my daughter was first directly given a known allergen by a staff member, causing an ER visit and extremely stressful day for my whole family. To be clear, this was not an accidental exposure - she was handed a cup of milk despite having a well-documented allergy to milk. Yesterday, my daughter was sent home with dried feces caked on the back of her shirt from a BM that occurred at 10 AM. She was walking around all day with a significant amount of feces on her. Based on the fingerprints and smudges she was touching it frequently, so it is fair to assume that everything she touched and even the other children she interacted with were exposed to the potential bacteria and illnesses known to be in feces. When I called to address both issues their response essentially amounted to 'mistakes happen.' Obviously this was extremely upsetting given these two incidents so close together, which clearly indicates a larger issue. After a tense but professional phone call with the owner I was told my daughter was no longer allowed to attend, effective immediately. Luckily we were already making plans since we didn't feel she was safe there anyway, but I was still appalled that rather than bear responsibility they chose to dismiss it. I am truly fearful for every student in that center. I don't know what it is happening but there is a clear lack of appropriate management and it is putting kids' well being at risk.

We can't say enough great things about The Learning Bee. We've placed both of our children here,…read moreand we couldn't be happier. The communication is first rate (we always receive timely emails and phone calls when required) and the educational aspects are, of course, top notch as well. We have seen tremendous growth from both children over the past three years - growth which, frankly, we don't feel we would have seen with any other provider. Their diligence during the pandemic was especially impressive, given how difficult it was for nearly every business in the area (and country) to operate during such a hectic time. The Learning Bee has been one of the best decisions we've made in our children's young lives.

Communication is great, via HiMama, phone calls, or emails. The staff, I love them. My twins are there and throughout their growth and transition to different classes, it has been a great experience. Ms. Megan, Ms. Morgan, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Marissa, Ms. Katie, Ms. Beth, Mr. Troy are just to name a few (please charge it to my head not my heart those I didn't mention). When I say the staff at Celebree Spring Ridge care, I mean it. As parents you want your children in a safe, healthy learning environment. Celebree Spring Ridge is the place. From infants to school-age, they're the best in my opinion. If you're considering enrolling your kid(s), attend the open house, go visit the location, you'll sign up! With any daycare, cost is a major factor. It's worth the money AND there is assistance for those that are interested (check with them for more details). I wholeheartedly stand by my review. Good luck in your daycare search, put Celebree Spring Ridge on your list of places to check out!

It felt like Owlets was a support system even outside of school hours. We loved the balance between structure and free play and really felt like Little Owlets prepared my daughter very well socially and knowledge-wise for kindergarten - the transition to elementary school was a breeze. My child LOVED the Montessori-inspired activity time and still talks about it. And there were so many creative and fun activities - cooking, yoga....We loved that outdoor time was emphasized in all but the worst weather and the kids got in quality outside play and exercise time.
