Cuppa cottage is considered by a few, the place to visit in Sandringham. This sugary sweet as a button cafe and tea room took me back to my time in Scotland, where is love is shown through how much food they can forced feed you.
I enjoyed a strong brew of T2 Earl Grey and of course a necessary cakie - caramel slice. They are famous for their freshly baked, big scones on display in the front ($6 with condiments). They have sweet- plain, raspberry, date or savoury- cheese and spinach. Prices are quite reasonable with sweet bakes ranging between $3-5. There is also an all day breakfast/brunch and savoury bakes such a tarts and quiche options.
The service can be a little hit and miss, but you're always served with a warm smile. The decor is eclectic with new and old knick knacks and cooking books and childrens toes.
