They offer any type of Turkish delight, lokum, Jellibon gummies, etc. that you might be wanting. As you walk along both sides of the store you can sample any type of candy that they sell. What I really enjoyed was watching them make some of the homemade candy over in the corner of the store. The employees will walk around with you and answer questions along with offering samples from the trays that are on display. Over in the far opposite corner of the store is where you can buy personal candies for special events. They offer chocolate covered nuts in assorted colors that would be perfect for a wedding, baby shower, or birthday party. You buy your candy by the kilo at an amazing TL rate. I definitely want to come back before we leave.

You can buy cookie cutters, muffin cups, and party supplies too. You can also sign up for one of their many cake decorating classes. They are very nice and try to help though. I was pleased with my items for my first trip. I visited again yesterday afternoon after our lunch. This time I walked around the inside and checked out the restroom. I was very pleased to see a child's play area on the lower level on the way. It was a small area, but I know my kid's would love it. The restrooms were very clean and well stocked when I went in. As I walked around the shop I was able to check out all of the desserts and candies that were sold. What a huge selection! My boys both had their ice cream. My oldest ordered one of the pictures in the menu, and I ordered a different photo for my youngest. I chose the white chocolate mocha and chocolate eclairs. My husband ordered tea. I was very pleased with my order, but I was disappointed in the fact that they didn't bring my boys orders. We ended up waiting over 5 minutes after our order was served. I had to ask a server about them. They brought ice cream, but not the flavors we requested. With the language barrier we kept what they brought us, and the boys were pleased. Overall this is a nice shop. The sweets are good, and the coffee is fresh and hot. I might stop by again after I visit my other coffee shop stops on my list.

We went upstairs so my youngest could run around and play while we had coffee. The atmosphere is so quirky and fun. Listening to older music like Madonna and Bon Jovi was great too! The bold colors and coffee décor makes it fun to look around and check things out. We sat upstairs with the open rooftop and enjoyed the fresh air. They offer several different tables and a few couches to sit at. My son ran around grabbing cookies from two of the servers that loved him. Every time they came upstairs they gave him biscuits or cookies...plus hugs and kisses on the cheek. =) The seats were very comfy, and they have several blankets to wrap around yourself if you get cold. I ordered a white chocolate mocha, and I was very pleased with the taste and the cookies/chocolates that were served. Maybe you can find and get this from somewhere else, but the taste will differ then you're not eating fresh and hot. It's a soft and also crunchy with syrup on it. It is similar to Spanish dessert called Churro which is also a fried-dough pastry. Difference between them is, you eat Churro with something like chocolate pudding or hot chocolate but in Halka tatlisi there is syrup, so you don't need to eat with another dessert.
