My wife (thank god, deals with schools and so on but last week when I went to see my daughter in practice after 1 hour or so I had something to take care of out the school and was to go back and pick up my daughter. My wife told me Lori Zamzow is the owner and I went over to let her know that my daughter would miss 2 shows on the 20th and 21st because I had booked in April a family trip to celebrate her 15th birthday. She did not even let me start talking, She ignored me and said to talk to Brooke Burgess (School Director) I said, I was told it was going to be difficult and they both looked at each other but I still went to talk to Burgess. I let her know that my daughter would be missing 2 shows me thinking is the right thing to do but nope, what a mistake, Burgess had no idea on what to do and went back to Lori Zamzow. She came over and told me about the commitment and all on the contract and I said, I understand but when the trip was made I chose the dates I did base on last years show dates (picture of last year schedule attach) She said to me that I need to cancel the trip I said I cant. told me to get my money back, I said impossible. Told me of the contract and I said I understand but I cant re-schedule this trip, ships don't leave at my convenience and I already had made a payment back in April for over 10k. At the end of the conversation I did say that the situation was making my blood boil and I took full responsibility for booking this trip thinking school would be over by the 18th but no, It did not work out that way. After almost 4 years committed to making sure this company gets paid on time, credit card on file for automatic payments and my wife taking my kid there and me after work picking her up what did Lori Zamzow do? she told Brooke Burgess like 20 min after I left the school to call me and she said, can you cancel that trip? Can you get a refund? can your reschedule? NO NO NO, this is a bully that barks because they know they have are kids there and they know how to crush them. She kicked my daughter out of: The Nativity Ballet show The NUTcracker show and all company pieces and future performances . Also, kicked her out her company beginning the next evening Nov 21st. I can understand being charged the $300 dollars If my daughter wanted to quit company, but all of the above looks very personal to me. Someone there also made a treat via email to send my account (1000% on time payments) to collections. what? Email is also attached. To my point, Bully and bark and keep talking and treating people the way you do, The only reason I don't yank my kid out of there is because from something this sad she said to me that she likes her teachers and friends. She will learn soon that when you are a paying client is true that customers are not always right, being a business owner my self, I would never treat someone like that. I told my daughter that this will make her stronger, because if for having a father that wanted to do the right thing and for this company to treat my daughter like that is unacceptable. My understanding is that many parents have pulled there kids out, I want out but my kid at 14 has no idea what a bully is, I do. I will keep supporting my kid no matter what and one last thing, care full if English is not your first language, Some there act like they cant understand you and for some sick sad reason they think is funny. Danielle has her teaching style down to a "T" because every recital I've been too has little musicians who truly enjoy playing and don't see it as chore. I think that is extremely telling of her ability as a teacher to encourage, motivate, and challenge her students. Studio is part of a historic building in downtown Gainesville and renders itself to a more cozy feeling which is not intimidating for the beginner and warm and inviting for the more experienced. All ages of music students are welcome!

We love the instructors and my daughter feels very loyal to the school and staff. The instructors are knowledgeable and warm and truly want your child to do their best. Their waiting room is also lovely, with cozy couches and a Keurig machine so families who are waiting for their children in lessons have a comfortable place to chill out.

Wifey and I went to the Dancing Goat to see one of her friends perform in "Almost, Maine"...a play…read morethat consisted of about a dozen vignettes on all aspects of "love." The play was quite well done and we enjoyed it immensely. Obviously, some of the vignettes were preferred over others, but all were done in the great spirit of Community Theater...and made for a very enjoyable Saturday evening "date night." The Theatre itself is a small, community one...and perfect for this type of play where the focus is definitely on the actors themselves and the interactions...bigger, broader ones may not fit in this relatively small place. I highly recommend...we will go back...wifey got the brochure of upcoming events...looking forward to a couple of them.

The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra was founded in 2007 and was assembled with high-quality…read moresymphonic musicians not already in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. It started with forty-two musicians and now is comprised of 116 artists and features classical, light classical, Broadway, and popular music. JCSO has entered its 18th year of existence with a full round of concerts and activities. It is the first and only professional symphony orchestra serving a city of less than 60,000 people and was recently selected to join a national consortium of only nine orchestras as part of the V. B. Toulmin Foundation Orchestral Commissions Program to ensure that new full-length works by composers not traditionally represented on orchestral stages receive a full hearing. JCSO has been commissioned to partner with Angel Lam for performances of her new work next season. Currently, JCSO is focused on selecting the orchestra's next Music Director and is presenting two concerts with each of the three finalists: Henry Cheng, Howard Hsu, and Paul Bhasin. My wife and I have gone to three of the six, are very enthusiastic about all three conductors, and eagerly await the final decision. The seasonal focus: Three Maestros, One Podium. We were privileged to hear 'From Screen to Stage' featuring the sounds of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Mission: impossible & Schindler's List. This concert showcased the power and emotion of Hollywood scores. 'Heroes Among Us: a Musical Tribute' is a powerful tribute to the spirit of heroism and featured Valerie Coleman's Seven O'Clock Shout dedicated to the frontline COVID workers. Pianist, David Fung, performed Greg's Piano Concerto. Energy and rhythmic vitality exhibited in Beethoven's symphony No. 7. This concert was led by Henry Cheng. The third concert that we attended was a 'Kaleidoscope of American Music' conducted by Paul Bhasin and displayed pieces with depth, complexity and diversity of our national musical heritage. The LA Philharmonic Principal Trumpet Tom Hooten was featured in two pieces in this concert. The JCSO also provides service to the community with free summer concerts in the park and a training ground for young and upcoming musical artists and a kids' Christmas concert for family and fun. They also provide educational and outreach programs in addition to high-quality performances. It is exceedingly exciting to have such an esteemed artistic creation alive and well within our small community. JCSO also serves neighboring towns within a thirty-mile radius and is beloved by all.

Wow! Last night we…read moreattended the Christmas Gala Holiday Pops at Johns Creek Methodist Church. We were lucky enough to get our seats right up front in the second row center with a perfect view of everything. The venue is beautiful. I'm not a church guy but I'd be willing to return to a church service to get an idea of how that organ sounds. I'm used to going to see bands while wearing a tie dyed shirt, shorts and sandals where seats aren't an option, which is no problem, because I'd rather be shaking my bones to the long Grateful Dead jams. This event was definitely different for my wife and me but we enjoyed dressing up and hanging with a different crowd. After this event, I'm ready for more! I've seen where the symphony offers a season ticket package and I'm pretty certain we'll be purchasing a couple of these for 2019. Awesome job JCSO! You've got me!

Hudgens offers a great variety of artist's works in many different formats. Those artists who contribute a great amount of work to the center even have their own sections dedicated to their works. Although I am not too big on "art galleries," I did find the Hudgens center to be somewhat interestingly captivating. Some of the paintings actually made me hallucinate just looking at them, because of the vivid trance causing design the artist created. I really liked the metal sculpture outside the building created by Rita Blitt named "The Passionate Gesture Retrospective Exhibition."
