I think it's mixed here, with some good, some not as good…read more Let's start with gas. If you're familiar with the area, you know that gas prices tend to be competitive in the Ballston Spa area. In fact, if you drive about 1 mile west on NY 67, over to where it intersects with NY 50, you'll find four other gas stations with considerably cheaper gas prices - 15 cents a gallon less today than here. That includes another Stewart's. Stewart's will keep their prices competitive when they're competing with other stations. But there's no other stations near this one. Hmmm... They must do a really good food to go business here, as more than half of the inside is devoted to it, including coffee, breakfast sandwiches, hot dog and other hot food stations, etc. There's several booths at which to eat here as well. The walls are lined with coolers, so good options for dairy, beer, etc., less so for other types of items on the small number of shelves. There are not 1 but two single-stall bathrooms here, and they were very clean today, essentially spotless. So perhaps they got the word from an earlier review or a complaint? The parking lot is busy and crowded, and it can be challenging getting back onto NY 67 during busy times of the day, as traffic backs up at the light. So my verdict: Drive the extra mile over to Route 50 for your gas, then drive here, wash your hands in the clean restroom, and get your food here.

During the beginning of the pandemic in the spring, they had several things I wanted at attractive prices that I couldn't find anywhere (cereal, ramen noodles). Their selection of hot food (pizza, hot dogs, etc.) is hit or miss both in terms of available and quality, but I have enjoyed their pizza when it was there. The store is one of the newer, "larger" Stewarts that seems set up to rival Cumberland Farms. Because of the roundabouts, getting here wasn't intuitive for me in the dark but I digress. Like most Stewarts, it is a good place for gas, a few treats, and perhaps ice cream.

TYPICAL RIP OFF REPAIR SHOP .... My 18 year old Daughter lives 1 mile from this Repair/Gas Station…read more Her Car had broken down and needed a Battery jump just to get to the station to be Diagnosed. On Thursday 12/11/2014 We called the station to see how it was going and if the car needed a battery. The Shop owner told us the car needed a battery and the fuel pump was no good. The car for some reason didn't start after they put the battery in the car. We agreed to the Professional Diagnoses of the Mechanic in the shop. Later the same day the Shop owner called us back and said uh duh that wasn't the problem with the car! He explained they weren't sure what was wrong with the car after installing a battery. I asked if he felt he could figure it out or should we take it out of his shop, He replied no just give me more time. Friday 12/12/14 The Shop owner had not called all day so I called and asked what was going on with my daughters car. He replied he thinks the car needs a Crank Sensor, I asked if it needs a Timing Belt with it. Again he replied I don't know for sure I will try the sensor and let you know if that's it. (Basically he is a parts changer) On Sat 12/13/14 I called the shop AGAIN and said how is my daughters car? The shop owner said Good it's all done HUH!!! I said. Yeah its going to cost you $940.00. Well I was not called to even authorize doing belts, pulleys, extra 5 hrs of labor on a $120.00 battery install. Now I Explain to Him I am an ASE certified technician from Long Island and have been working on cars my entire life since I am 17 yrs old. I Looked up the labor time to do a timing belt all belts and crank sensor and pulleys and the labor time is 3 hours. I explained he is charging for labor time that he could not figure out what was wrong with the car, I would have known the crank sensor was no good in 15 min by hooking a scanner up to the vehicle and checking RPM readings. That's how you diagnose not changing parts until you get it. Please believe that not all mechanics will RIP YOU OFF like these guys did. I will be in front of his shop on Friday the 12/19/14 with a big sign letting neighbors know he Ripped off my 18 year old College student Daughter and will probably do it again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!
