It is starting to be over the top. 20 minutes to get from one side of town to the other, let alone these annoying driverless cars merging into traffic and weaving in and out..that is scary, hello! CITY OF MT VIEW YOU ARE BUILDING WAY TO MUCH. I am capitilizing this in case you cannot read or see. We do not have the infastructure..way too many people, not enough land. You need to follow the suit of towns like Los Altos and Menlo Park and S Bay like Los Gatos. You are making this over the top. You really need to listen up. Are you building so much to pay the exorbitant city salaries of your employees? There is not enough infastructure here to support what you are trying to do, wake up call.

I'm assuming it's usually not super bad, but we went on Valentine's Day, so that made things a tad more difficult. There's a wide variety of eateries (just know that some of them close for a lunch break) and boba places and sweets places which is nice, as well as a local mom and pop owned market, a book store, gift shops, and the pop up for local independent artists. It's pretty lively on weekends with lots of people walking around, students busking, families hanging out, there's a ping pong table, and it's nice that they close down part of the middle roadway so pedestrians can walk easier and much more willy nilly, as well as opportunities for al fresca dining. Food options that I saw were Japanese, Thai, Korean, Chinese (from many regions), Indian, Mexican, American, Mediterranean, and much more. They got a sizeable Ume Tea here as well and if it weren't so busy, I'd stop by either of the 2 patisseries they had. Also, random, but I liked how they used that one storefront just to highlight what looks like a child's research project on penguins. Super cute!

Upon sitting, we were just sitting around for awhile until a server came up to us to tell us how to order. I was kind of disappointed that the instructions were unclear. I think they were also confused that both of us were each attending for the Yelp event, even though we both checked in. So after asking multiple questions, we understood that we had to order the complimentary soup and combo from the menu thru the QR code at the table and the discount will apply later. We ordered extra meat in addition to the ones included in the experience. Since we arrived closer to 8pm, there weren't many tea options left for the soup base. We opted for Jasmine Tea. It was cool to see tea being a soup base for hot pot. We then proceeded to the sauce bar to make our own sauce. There were also a few snacks along with the sauce bar. When our food arrived, it was a nice presentation. But they forgot one meat and both of our veggies for the combo until we asked. I also think they might've switched the spice level on our soups, because we requested Beef Oil to be mild and the Golden Sour Cabbage to be medium spicy. But the Beef Oil was way too spicy. Although our experience wasn't the best because things were unclear, we finished and enjoyed all our food. Thank you to Four Seasons Tea House Hot Pot and Paolo for organizing this event!

Max is an outdoor sculpture located in Mountain View, California..... Wow this one came out of…read morenowhere and I was really shocked. I have seen other works of Deborah Butterfield at major museums, and was floored to see this art installation in the middle of nowhere (I mean its near offices etc, but not on any maps), off by itself with little fanfare. I was biking by and saw it from a distance. Curious I rode up and was very surprised Deborah Butterfield began sculpting horses back in the 1970's. She started with sticks and clay, but soon progressed to scrape metal. She later moved on to cast bronze. She selects individual pieces of wood and then creates the bronze cast. The wood/bronze is then used to create the horses. A native of San Diego, California, her art can be seen in museums around the country. From the artist: ""The lines of the branches do not simply outline the forms of horses, they create the contours through an accumulation of simple or energetic lines that seem to build up from within. This is three-dimensional gesture drawing, and the result is both skeletal and muscular." The sculpture at first glance appears to be driftwood with all of its detail, but when you touch it and feel the cold hard metal its shocking everything even though I know what to expect. There is a stark simplicity to the sculpture as a whole from a distance, but the intricate details of the casting and the complexity the small shapes form are shockingly complex. The sculpture is about 40 feet from the sidewalk and up a slight hill. There is nothing around and I have to admit I spent a good 30 minutes enjoying both the relative quiet and the sculpture from different angles. As with most of my public art reviews this is more of a stop than a destination. There is quite a bit to do in the immediate are from the various Bay Trails and Shoreline Lake etc.
