I kid you not, the female one has a hole, and it's mate has something to go in it so they slot together in positions that leave nothing to the imagination. But ... That's just one of the quirky trinkets available at T on the first floor of Causeway Bay Place. Some of the pieces I really liked! A very funky 'gold' collection of rings, bracelets and pendants for example. There were bracelets that looked like a measuring tape, others that were USB cables and still others that looked like a delicate skeleton hand was grabbing your wrist. Some, and the keys chains mentioned above we're the most extreme example, we're a bit over the top for my taste. But everything here is unique. Handmade by Hong Kong designers so if you're looking for small gifts to send or take home to friends and family, but want to stay away from market tat - then this is the store for you. Otherwise, forget the friends and get something for yourself to make that outfit REALLY stand out.

If this is indeed you, I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the HKTDC Design Gallery in the Convention Centre, Wan Chai. This haven of "stuff" is all 100% designed in Hong Kong, which means it is just that bit more genuine then those tea sets from Stanley Market. With a focus on young HK designers, and local brands, this is about as Hong Kong as you can get. Sure, the range of products is quite eclectic, anything from jewellery and iPhone cases, through to plates and lacquered boxes, and the designs themselves range from funny and childlike cartoon characters, through re-imaginings of historical photographs from Hong Kong. But this does make it an ideal place to shop, because you are bound to find something that you like. For me, it is a great place to buy greeting cards, and small gifts to take home. They even have a shop in the airport, in case of last-minute visits to Auntie Norah - you can't visit your auntie empty-handed now, can you? The prices of the products vary as much as their range. Nothing is too expensive, but in the same vein, nothing is particularly cheap. The products are very well-made, though. There is an ethos and focus on being a gallery, but I don't think it really resembles a gallery at all. Then we found J Store: a lovely looking boutique that sells Korean and Japanese clothing, accessories and shoes. Joyee, the owner of the shop, warmly welcomed us and left us free to look around as we were falling in love with this and that...which was pretty much everything she had on display. As we found out later, each piece of clothing is individually picked by her during her trips to Korea, where she goes every two months. Her style is cute and casual, yet elegant and fine with a hint of exclusiveness and a ton of good taste. She keeps a stock of clothes on sale, from previous collections, as she is constantly updating the store. Every effort has been put into the decoration, both exquisite and cozy. And she can't deny she's got a thing for furry cats. Even some clothes have a cattish style, like her fluffy looking fur jackets. We, of course, left the store with some of her jewels, including that jacket. Her clothes on sale are the greatest deal; however prices are reasonable for current collections and new arrivals, considering a lot of thought and care has been placed on the piece you'll be wearing.
