DATE ENTERED IS DATE I SENT THEM THE FOLLOWING LETTER My bottom line for this message is simple: Cuddl Duds needs to get the Cuddl Duds Climate Right (or Control) fleece product off the market immediately so that others do not also waste their hard-earned money. The items in question were a set of fleece long underwear, including a pullover top and bottom. Cuddl Duds has a long and generally good reputation; many people (myself included) thought they were once American-made. Perhaps a return to American manufacturing standards is in order? I have purchased several other sets of your long underwear as gifts and for personal use previously, all with good results, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I emphasize just how angry I am about the poor quality of this specific fleece line. The shedding has been a nightmare. Fleece balls (pilling) were everywhere: all over my clothes, sheets, in my hair, on the floors, all over laundry washed with the items, and clogging up the washer and dryer vents. They were absolutely everywhere. I even washed them separately a second time, and it did no good. Six to seven days later, after wearing the items just once, these balls are still falling off things. The issue has also caused material damage to other items. I have thrown away two new quality bras because the balls embedded themselves so deeply into the fabric that they could not be brushed off, or rolled off with stick paper. Hundreds of them are stuck in the material. Due to current technical issues with my PC, I cannot access the photos I took of the product labels before I threw the product itself in the garbage. I am sending this message without the photos now, but I will still be writing reviews on multiple online pages--that is how mad I am. In spite of being retired, I do not have excess time, as I own and operate two stores. This product is unacceptable and has severely damaged my trust in your company. __________________________________________ EDIT: A Cuddl Duds supervisor, Moira(sp), contacted me, approx. 3 wks ago. Moira(sp) expressed her concern with product described above. With no 'ask' from me, she offered me a lorge amount of credit to buy on their stores off their websites. I said 'ok' & I would edit my complaint on TP regarding CD non-contact. Moira(sp)asked me to wait until I had their items I chose in hand. She then assigned a person she trusted to take my order, named 'Tammy' person. I spoke with Tammy who informed me to take as long as I wanted to choose products. Later I then spent a considerable amount of time picking items & putting them in the carts. I called & emailed 'Tammy' back 2-3 times to tell I was ready. NO RESPONSE. I then called & emailed Moira(sp) back 2-3x, NO RESPONSE!. They GHOSTED me - both of them. I thoroughly checked my phone & numbers, email & spam = nothing! Why did they even bother to make the offer when I didn't even ask for anything??! EDIT 3 - FOLLOW UP FROM EDIT 2 Komar/Cuddl Duds offered a replacement credit for defective items and then stopped responding entirely. I emailed & left voice messages to Komar & their 2 representatives multiple times informing that I was ready with my replacement selections. NO RESPONSE from any again. No acknowledgment, no follow through, no credit issued. There was no return involved -- this was a replacement credit THEY initiated. After instructing me to choose items and contact them when ready, they simply went silent and ignored every message. Since Komar took over CD the quality and the customer service have dropped to the bottom floor. My experience is one more example of the decline, there are many more. This company has ZERO customer service. I had an order with them, which did not fully arrive. I tried calling, e-mailing, and the usual stupid "bot" chat, which is a total joke. As temperatures dip in San Francisco and it's C-C-C-CCCOOOOLD, I'm grateful to have Cuddl Duds tops and leggings to keep me warm. The "fleecewear with stretch" leggings are THE warmest I've ever come across. So soft and comfortable and sleek that I forget I'm wearing them... like I'm wearing WARMTH. If this is the only line that Cuddl Duds makes, it would have been good enough. But get this, they also make "softwear", "softwear with stretch", "softwear with stretch ribbed", "thermalwear", "stretch thermal", "climatesmart", "comfortwear", "softknit", "ultra cozy", .... And the list goes on, I kid you not. Fortunately you can read all about it on their website (https://cuddlduds.com/pages/cuddl-duds-layer-guide). My orders arrived promptly with tracking and notifications. "Cuddl Duds"... Please note - my review is NOT about their products - it is about their "customer service" and processing FIrst, should you wish to order their products, I urge you to use one of distributors vs. ordering through them. Second, I ordered an item over the holidays. I received an email acknowledging the order. However, it did not indicate that the company was closed until January 4th and would not be processing orders until that date nor that there would be a prolonged delay in shipping my order - had I know that, I would have ordered the goods from one of their distributors - this was before I had the negative experience with their customer service department. Despite their claim that this delay was stated on their website, it did not, in any spot that I could find, disclose this closure or the delay that would ensue. I called on January 4th to find out when my package would ship. I received a message saying it would ship that day or the next. No communication by the 6th so I called to find out when it would ship - by that point I was very frustrated. The CS rep was snippy at best, and I was annoyed but remained professional - this time they told me that they had a 24-48 hr processing time - I pointed out that they were beyond their own window for processing and suggested that they should have at least sent an email with an update on shipping given the delay and I got a repeated "we are a family owned company, we were closed, and we are within our window". I asked to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me. I called back and simply asked for the supervisor. I received the same defensiveness from the supervisor, same stock answer, and was told it would definitely ship by the 7th. At no point had I raised my voice or used expletives -I suggested that they should at this point pay for the expedited shipping which they refused - when I suggested their customer service was seriously lacking, the supervisor hung up on me. No notice of a package shipping that day or the next. I called on the 8th to find out if they were ever going to ship it and expressed my frustration - without any expletives, without raising my voice but calling their service deplorable and suggesting they should pay for expedited shipping - the answer was no and that it would take another week once it shipped. I should have cancelled but I wanted the clothes. I finally got an email on the 8th saying the package had shipped but WITHOUT A WAY TO TRACK IT ONLINE - (you have to call them and after my experience with them, I was not interested in more of their inappropriate communication)...The email also did not indicate their shipping method - - Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, or probably Pony Express given their sloppy CS and processing standards. I am writing this because I am hoping someone in that family owned business wants the company to succeed and recognizes nothing I requested was unreasonable and that they have several employees who need some intensive training on professionalism and an over haul on their shipping and client communication processes. I had ordered from them because I wanted an independent company to succeed - wanted to give them the dollars directly vs. Amazon or Kohls or Target, etc... I won't make that mistake again but it really is sad - this company is shooting itself in the foot on so many levels... This review is not about the quality of their products. It is about the utter lack of customer service at their company. I ordered two pair of leggings from them and received them on November 30th. I tried them on and determined one pair was too large. I wanted an exchange and according to their website, I needed to call customer service or email. Since December first, I have left at least 8 messages, with all pertinent information. I have also emailed. I have received no response and the customer service line has never even been answered by a person. Their policy is to send out a prepaid shipping label for an exchange. Today, out of frustration, I left another message beseeching them to simply put the return label in the mail for me. It's really too bad, as I have had good experiences with their products and buy them every year. I will unfortunately have to find another company that makes the sort of leggings I need in the winter. read more
