I had very specific requirements for my website, such as needing it to be dual language, playful, inclusive and highly engaging for a wide audience. I received expert advice on how to make this all happen within a budget. She is extremely responsive to emails and very easy to work with. Also, she showed my team how to manage our website so we aren't stuck paying big fees for website management in the future. Everything was wonderful!

I had a great experience working with Carol! I contacted her by email and she replied the same day…read moreso that we could talk on the phone and look at examples of her work. She asked me questions about the type of website I needed to build and the type of features I would need. She understood my budget and made several great recommendations, and at no time did she try to up-sell me on features I did not need or want. Once we settled on a design, Carol got to work right away migrating the content from the old website and adding in new images. Throughout the process, Carol was easy to work with and made changes and additions until the website was ready to go. She continued asking me questions and made suggestions about design and content until we were both satisfied. She also provided some basic training for the Wordpress admin functions. The old website was hard to navigate and looked pretty bleak. With Carol's design skills, the new one looks truly fantastic. It can also be easily viewed on a smartphone or mobile device, so it just feels more modern. All in all, Carol completed the site quickly and beautifully. I hope that I have another web or graphic design project so that I can hire here again!

Steve A. and I…read morestumbled upon the shop during our first Third Friday experience, where the doors were open but no one was interacting with patrons. Not a deal breaker, but there were also no refreshments or beverages offered like most of the Third Friday participants. I really felt no reason to return in the future. HOWEVER, fast forward to a spontaneous visit during a Saturday Farmers Market and my opinion of the studio has gone up. Although there was still no one to interact with us while viewing the small gallery at the front of the shop, I enjoyed the artwork and information available to visitors. BCAC is an "arts and creative professional alliance comprised of three studios." A documentary film and video production studio called The Groove Productions; a graphic design, fine press publishing, and letterpress printing shop called Horse & Buggy Press; and a fine art and portrait photography studio called Marthanna Yater. These three studios offer commissioned work and retail artworks in their own variety of media. They also regularly have rotating artists in the "Upfront Gallery" in the space, open to the public Thursday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings as well as every Third Friday from 6-9pm. The exhibits change every month and are comprise of everything from photography, sculpture and pottery to letterpress work and even custom pillows and bags. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of the way to visit. Also, since it's a little out of the way of most of the Third Friday vendors, I wouldn't put it on my "must hit" list.

I had a terrible experience with this company and with their customer service staff…read more I am a graduate student and ordered 500 business cards in November. They arrived in January. I expected some time between ordering and delivery but two months is kind of pushing it to the extreme. But that is not my major issue. When the cards arrive they had what I approved in the proof AND the words "Title 2" and "Title 3" printed underneath my name. I opened the box to see if this was a misprint on the displayed card, however it was on all 500 cards. I called the customer service line and a woman named Donna told me the electronic error that occured (the system timed out and it added the text back that I deleted) but offered no sort of solution on how to fix the misprinted cards. Her advice was basically, put in the order again. I asked if I could be charged again and she said, "yes!" My response was, "why would I use this service again when you messed up the job the first time?" She did not respond. If this error happens enough for you to be able to tell me how it happened I feel as if the website should be tweaked or add a final proof step at the end after you enter your card information. Donna said that the proof is saved as a PDF and goes to print without any sort of quality assurance. My school recommended this service to me and my Fellowship students so I asked if they had any input on how to deal with the misprinted cards. They had previously worked with the company so I thought it would be good to ask them to call on my behalf. They called and a man named Joe was extremely rude. He attempted to insult my intelligence by blaming user error and was yelling at the end of the call. This service needs to re-train their customer service staff (or just hirer nicer people), revisit their quality assurance process and think about how small things become big things.

Consistently great quality, competitive pricing, excellent customer support. I have been using…read moreUniversal to print catalogs for our small business for about 4 years now. What does that mean? It means I am amateurish at best at layout/design, but Joe in customer service, as well as the art department, do a great job at having my back and pointing out anything that needs attention. Quality is exceptional. There's always a few people out on the loading dock lending a hand. Absolutely love working with this company, I definitely recommend!
