As of the time of writing this, they had two rooms available, Alien Attack and Escape The Serialkiller. We decided on the Alien Attack room, in which you're taking on the role of a group of scientists trying to stop, you guessed it, an attack on earth by  Lots of space in large lockers, some complimentary drinks and a really nice and comfortable waiting room to start with. We got a short briefing and off we went to save the earth.  The room is set up like a laboratory with an interesting collection of human-made and alien looking technology and documents. There were plenty of puzzles, clues, and riddles to work on, so everyone was busy right from the start. While there were a few familiar items, they also had quite a few fresh and exciting things that I hadn't encountered in this way before. Not overly difficult, but a good challenge and a lot of fun. Especially a larger group project towards the end of the game, it was quite hard to get right but so much fun to figure out. There was one clue that made no sense at all, poor planning on the organiser's side, it didn't hinder us from progressing through the game, but we did need a clue to make sense of it. There were several electronic devices involved in solving this room and while all of them worked well, there was one in particular that was hard to handle. We got it to work in the end though, so it's all good. We stopped the alien attack in good time and had a lot of fun. It's a really good team room with a thorough theme and professional production value.  I can absolutely recommend Escape Kent and we'll definitely be returning to try their other rooms.

Snappy's is a soft play centre for both small and older children…read more The centre has a smaller area for babies/toddlers and also a larger play frame with one pipe slide and another 'rapid' slide. The centre has a resturant area which is in full view of the play area allowing parents to have a sit down whilst the children play. Snappy's also host parties where you get to meet Snappy the dinosuar!

Canterbury Bowling Club is situated in South Canterbury Road. The club has two well mainained…read moregreens and provides two of the finest bowling surfaces in Kent. The club takes part throughout the summer in the Forest of Blean League and has bowlers who represent the County at all levels. Like all Bowls Clubs they are always happy to see new bowlers and visitors. Canterbury have touring sides from all over the Country competing against them, as well as hosting many County and National events. They also host a number of Open Tournaments throughout the season.

I have played there many times and have always been pleased with what is a playing surface second to none in the County. The Club play in the Local Dover League and in the past few years have been both winners and runners up in the league. The club play host to many touring sides throughout the season, as well as hosting many County and National games. In 2010 they are hosting the County Competition Finals. New bowlers, visitors and spectators are always welcome there, a lovely place to spend a summer afternoon.

Hidden away at the end of the pier is a 1960's style construct within which is a gym, squash courts…read moreand most importantly a roller skating rink! The weekends see family sessions (Saturday afternoons have disco lights in the last hour) which last around 5 hours, you pay once and can skate for the whole time. The rink is also open on selected days within the school holidays. The rink is always busy but never packed and there is always enough room for novices to cling to the sides and the more experienced to whizz round. Staff are on hand to help and roller skate hire is available. Reasonable prices for skate and hire and indeed the skate shop also sells reasonably priced skates,

The café offers the regular range of food: breakfast, small meals, snacks, hot and cold drinks. We tried the toasted roll slices with marmalade which were very nice. Today we were there for the second time and had a cheeseburger as well as a jacket potato with cheese which were also very good. The prices are reasonable. They have a tennis court and minigolf just outside the café. You can borrow the equipment at the café. The car park is suitable for very few cars only.

very dissapointing, my daughter did not go there for long as the instructors were not very good and…read moreshe did not learn very much. I had a friend whose daughter helped out in the stables but left as she felt she was not treated fairly. My wife was interested in learning to ride horses but had heard that she would have to ride with children and not adults in the group work. We had also heard from a couple of other riders who felt that they had not really gained much from going there and were very dissapointed. I know I would not recommend the place, I did not find the owner friendly, helpful and very good with adults as another reviewer has stated. I think it is important to write a review as everyone had different experiences, clearly ours was not so good and I have to agree with Scarllett...ok for kids possibly but certainly not group work for adults or good communication unless you want an impatient owner or prickly manager.

whiteleaf is an excellent riding stables for all abilities. i ride there and so does my daughters…read moreand the service is great. they are so different to a normal stables and have such a varied amount of activities you can do with horses/ponies. my daughter goes to the after school pony club, which is very affordable and she learns loads from it. there prices are very afforadable and the flexiblility of lessons isa great. riding for adults is great, with a nice selection of horses to use i recommend whiteleaf and will continue to ride there and soon im gonna start one of there courses there
