In fairness I must update my review. A few weeks ago i mentioned that the wait times were unusually long compared to the number of donors waiting. They seem to have corrected the problem. It take about 3 minutes per person in front of you now instead of the 10 it was taking. If there a many people in line you wait if few it goes fast, but an estimate of 3 minutes per person in front is accurate now. Management has resolved the issues. read more

Untrained people in this facility, there's no way they should have that person trying to help out people when they're ignorant to the fact of what their job is. My name is Bryan Hanson and I am giving this review. CSL do better, train your team so they can help people out. If someone's there for a few months and can't learn, it's time to send them down the road. read more

This place never and I mean, never has enough staff available on any given day. Today, I stood in the line for a half an hour without a single person moving forward because they only had one person doing the check ins. The bathrooms rarely are in working order and today both were out of order. After a three year hiatus, I decided to try again and the fees are exactly the same as they were three years ago, although everything else has doubled and tripled in price in those same three years. They give us $45-$50 for a pint of our plasma and then turn it around and sell it for anywhere from $750-$1500 a pint depending on who is buying it. Seems like the only ones making money here are management and they don't care how long you have to wait or how little money they are giving you for your donation. The folks who work here are not to blame. It is 100% the management!!!! read more

They actually care and take precautions with their clients. Only had a good experience here

Terrible wait time lazy staff don't go here and just lowered the pay don't recommend.

Austen is the best, he cares, hes quick, i fully recommend him when you hit the back floor to start donating!! And he dont hurt your arms, which is freaking great!!! read more

staff doesn't care at all they will make you wait about 2 hours in line they have several beds available but there to lazy after they help 1 person they have to have a 5-10 minutes take with they buddies before helping anyone else there has been 5 empty beds for over 2 hours the line is huge and they seem to have a care in the world talking to other employees not work stuff at all just drama and gossip everyone care here them just stand there and talk not careing that there is over 20 people in line. go somewhere where there actually care about you not just there friends read more

They might take a minute when it's busy, but they try to get everyone through quick n efficient. They are nice and some make you laugh making the whole process easier! read more

Don't waste your time!!! My 1st donation 5 hrs and I got there at 7:30. They bruised me. 2nd donation waited 4hrs in line to only have 1 person processing & 3 sticking. They bruised me so bad that I had to wait 2 wks w/out pay. Each time I stood in line 2-3hrs. They are a trash can fire of a company. They can't stick a juice vein like mine and mess it up.... They are dirty! The people I was standing in line with smelled like they shit themselves. People watching movies with no ear pods it was a nightmare. Talking on their phones just a lower level of society. I LOVE GRIFOLS I AM IN AND OUT IN 1hr. They've never missed my vein or bruised me. read more

I just went there for the first time the other day and will confirm what others have said. Way understaffed and poorly managed. Grifols has plenty of staff and good system. Takes less than half the time read more

The staff is great but is never there. They are constantly understaffed and poorly managed. Expect to be there for 3 to 4 hours. The staff is over worked and seem defeated. I was told by employees that there is no repercussions for calling out or even no call no shows. On Tuesday June 25th I was in line for 2+ hours and watched while the women in the vest did absolutely nothing. Poorly managed company! Feel bad for the employees read more

Worst plasma center ever existed. They told me they DO NOT do appointments, but on the app it says I can book appointments. Short staffed, rude front desk. They also pay you less after they weight you. With All my heart, I Hope your business run to the ground as fast as possible. read more

Your machines suck it has "taken a break " 4 times in 500ml. It takes me HOURS here even as a return donor. You should try an appointment procedure to better help your donors. My time is valuable. read more

The staff is great, Am especially impressed by a lovely lady Monica. Very sweet, professional. Its a plasma donation could be better pay but is not. Over all its good. read more

I was less than impressed with this place. I scheduled an appointment on the app and we I went to my appointment they said they weren't taking any new donors for the day. They said they don't take appointments and the appointments on the app aren't real appointments. So that was a waste of an hour. They were also very short with me, the place wasn't very clean, and the lines were insanely long. I probably dodged a bullet. I will stick with BioLife, after all. read more

Isn't it funny how even their so called senior phlebotomists also suck? Terrible place to go unless you want your veins constantly stuck by a needle because they don't get it right the first time. Unfriendly staff. Rude. Dirty place. read more

As a new donor, the initial screening and intake process was welcoming and professional. Just be prepared for several hours for the first visit, though it was no longer than disclosed. The facility is clean and sterile technique is followed, the technicians all so far have successfully inserted needle with barely a prick. As far as sitting with a needle placed in your arm for an hour, it is satisfying to know you are donating a valuable commodity and even being compensated for your time. read more

Called it to see about donating, wanted to know if they take hemoglobin. I have hemochromatosis which is too much iron. Transferred call to 2 centers before one would answer. Lady on phone says I half to come in to ask that question? Really that is ridiculous. Nope never coming hear staff is not helpful and rude. Would have Gave them 1/2 a star if it was option. read more

Becoming a new donor is a lengthy process and requires a lot of steps but the staff at CSL made this process a lot easier by giving first time donors top priority and making the wait time a lot shorter then it would have otherwise been. read more

The facility is nice and clean. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly during the process of donating my plasma.

I just moved to salt lake and chose to donate plasma here because of the reviews. I have had a great experience so far! All of the staff is very kind, I have never had to wait too long, and the phlebotomists do a great job! Would recommend :) read more

The actual process and employees have always been fine. The wait is unlike any other plasma center I've ever been to though. You can expect to be there for around 3-4 hours at least on a normal visit. No matter what time of day I went, it was at minimum about an hour to an hour and a half wait before I was actually seated in a chair to start my donation. The pay is good. On the upper end of plasma centers. They claim that they are understaffed, but every other plasma center has no problem keeping enough employees to prevent such a long wait, so hopefully CSL figures out what they need to do in order to address this. read more

Do not go here. They are the slowest plasma center I have ever been to. Your first donation will be your fastest at about 3 hours because you get to skip to the front of lines. They have no urgency so if you like standing in lines forever, this is for you. read more

They always have quick, friendly service. They call me by name, several people there remember my name. They are friendly. I rarely have to wait very long. I'm almost always in and out in under 2 hours, often under 90 minutes. They recently changed their pay scale and I love the new system. read more

The midvale utah location: Terrible customer treatment. Very rude, and unprofessional. They wouldnt accept my social security card claiming it was altered and no good. We talked to a manageramd he was rude, saying it's not up for debate, wouldnt let us hardly talk or explain anything. Terrible place, horrible staff. read more

CSL staff are friendly and efficient. Great way to make some extra money.

Great people but long lines. After the initial payout, you can go elsewhere in the city to get faster service and a little better pay. Still, this is a fine donation center and, if I lived closer, I would use it. read more

Really bothered by the fact this location has limited bedding so the wait time is ridiculous. I could understand if we were at the beginning of the Covid breakouts but to limit bedding when the numbers are going down and we have a vaccine seems contradictory. Other than this, I've always been happy with this location read more

I have been going here for a few weeks now to donate plasma. Although there can be long wait times, (which is to be expected) and seem to be slightly understaffed, they have always been kind, friendly, courteous and do their best to get you in and out as soon as possible. Their pay is comparable to other plasma donation places and they do their best to make you as comfortable as you can be with a needle in your arm. read more

DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to be treated poorly. This Midvale location has the worst customer service and management I have ever experienced! Extremely rude and unprofessional employees, especially the manager. The way I was treated by the manager here is completely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Very caring staff. They were very clean. The process was long but I was always moving through the process. I wasn't left waiting for very long. I really appreciated the follow up phone call the next morning. The parking lot was dirty so I didn't expect it to clean like it was. I was impressed. They gave me a Gatorade and a snack when I first got there. It was a pleasant experience. I read more

I've started coming here because it was closer to home. The wait time varies the day, but I show up in the early morning to beat the lines. For a place understaffed, they are friendly and give great customer service. However the only problem is WiFi connectivity, if they fix that I think they'd see more business. Cleanliness 3/5 Service 4/5 read more

This company is not ADA friendly, nor should their medical expertise be trusted. The center I went to was incompetent and ended up wasting hours of my time. I have a diagnosed disability, one that is treated and maintained (and has nothing to do with infectious deceases that would prevent me from donating), with both medications and having a service dog. I went through the initial process fine, everyone was nice and accommodating at first, but then I had the physical exam. I had no medical abnormalities that would prevent me from donating, but was turned away because I was "nervous". This experience was something I'd never done before, so I was understandably a little anxious, but I've been in therapy for years learning how to deal with my triggers and stress and have been taking my medication regularly. This was not ill-formed consent, nor was I ignorant about the risks. I am at a good place in my life that I feel confident that I was ready to do it, and in the end, I am the one who knows my body the best when it comes to my anxiety. They are not understanding, do not listen, nor do they care about their donors. I was lied to multiple times, patronized and then shown the door when I tried to argue logic with them. I did not raise my voice once, and was able to refute any argument he tried to bring up. All he could do was cite a very vague corporate rule that he could manipulate to fit his needs. There was no reason I couldn't donate today, except that he didn't want me to. I am a very honest person and do not think it's right to hide my condition (especially if it WAS untreated) because I knew it could be dangerous for both me and the tech. This is the most humiliated I've been in a while, because after all my hard work and progress, I'm still being told that I can't help people because someone has judged me, and found me lacking for something I cannot 100% control. There are 16 other plasma donation centers in Utah, I would recommend ANY of them over CSL. read more

I haven't been here in almost 6 months because of new tattoos but I had been going there for around 6 months regularly before I stopped, and before that I had been going to the Biomat in Taylorsville for over a year regularly. The biggest positive for CSL is they are fast and the way you go through the process is much more efficient than Biomat. The biggest downside was how dirty CSL is. They don't give you a bandaid after your finger prick and they have you throw the cotton ball away which results in blood drops and cotton balls all over the floor. They definitely don't spray and wipe the beds in between people, and they almost never change their gloves. The bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in months. But hey, at least they're fast. I would sometimes be at Biomat for 3 or 4 hours. The most I ever spent at CSL was 2. read more

Fantastic staff. Straight forward process and valuable resource to our community! Would come back

I thought I would take a moment to revise my review. I have been a regular here for over two years. I can say that the level of service has shifted from time to time. However, it generally been at least okay until the past couple of months. The level of service has gotten to be pretty bad over the past couple of months. Staff turn over has always been high, but in the past few months it has gotten worse. It would appear that there turn over rate cannot even keep up with their needs. Half the donation floor is most often closed, there never seems like there is enough screeners, and their technology always runs slow. There was a time when I could be in and out in 90 min. Two to two and a half hours has become more normal these days, with very long lines no matter what time of day you come in. When I got here today, there was just a couple of people in lone to be screened, and about 5-6 waiting for a donor bed. After my screening, i am waiting behind 7 people, there are 4 behind me, and 10 people in line to be screened. I suspect it will get worse moving into the afternoon. Over the past couple of weeks, i have actually come to donate and left because it was too crowded. There is a handful of staff on the donor floor whom are great. Sadly, they are over worked and have to deal with what appears to be a hostel work environment. I have heard many staff complaining about the work conditions. I have also heard about many donors who were looking for other places to go. They are done; and at this point so am I. There are other places to go, who wants to spend 3 hours to make 20 bucks. read more
