We had just arrived to Carcassonne after driving from…read moreanother location and since it was perhaps later than the regular french lunchtime (it was close to 3PM) no one wanted to serve us lunch. You would expect that since Carcassonne is a touristic destination they would try to be flexible and adapt to different schedules of the people visiting. But... No!! On est fermé !
We were already accepting the idea of not having lunch until we decided to get into La Girouette and ask. They warmly welcomed us and took our order. We didn't have to wait that long until they served us. We ordered grilled squids and gambas with fries Everything was tasty, fresh and well cooked.
