The Crystal Wizard is a gift shop tucked away behind Highway 101 on Gleneden Beach Loop in Gleneden Beach, OR. Aside from a plethora of stones, incenses, cards, jewelry, DVDs, CDs and other natural energy items, they also offer tarot card readings. Additionally, they have an energetic intuitive empowerment coach available by appointment (I think) who is also a grief recovery specialist. While this is a favorite local shop of my sister-in-law's, I was less impressed by the lack of friendliness on the part of the female cashier... Then again she was quite upset with this reprehensible grown-up man kept pestering the indoor resident feline (I think she referred to the cat as "Linus"). The cashier even yelled at him, then when he still wouldn't stop both my sister and mother-in-laws gave him a few choice words. Lol. Cash or plastic is accepted. My husband and I discovered this place in our honeymoon 18 years ago. I've enjoyed checking out the beautiful items in the store every summer since. I was at the coast last weekend with my inlaws and my mil booked psychic readings for herself, my sil, dil, and myself. We showed up for our appointments and we were told she was up with her cat all night, and we rescheduled for the next day. No big deal, things happen. We show up the following day and we're told no. She didn't have time for us with no offer to reschedule. We had taken hours from our vacation 2 days in a row to do this as my Mil was very excited about it. I was very disappointed that she simply didn't want to do her job. That much was clear. I still recommend visiting the store, but I wouldn't schedule a phychic reading at this place at all in the future. read more

Don't blink or you might miss this hidden gem as it seems to rise from the ethers of this fog filled coastal Gleneden neighborhood, embraced by a forested hillside. Level up with the blissful energy that surrounds this space. I didn't have to see the cats that live above to feel their grounding presence that assist in keeping this roof top from blast off. All these high vibrational goodies in one place, is a bit intense for sensitives, not just the incense. Great place for gifting yourself and others. Greeting cards, crystals, candles, drums, and so much more packed into this space. Knowledgable, friendly staff, willing to guide you to what feels right for your needs. This place is truly special. Blessed to be there in summertime to appreciate the small garden grounds in bloom, including a calming pool. You may be drawn to the tiny hobbit house where they do energy work. This magical shop in a beautiful setting has a vast inventory and knowledgeable friendly staff. I was able to get a Tarot reading from Hope and she was amazing. Crystal Wizard is more of a destination than a shop. We drive out of our way from Portland to visit as often as we can. Now, if you are into the craft you will find a hardy source of supplies such as purification items, crystals (of course), pendants, rings, books, some clothing and fetishes. The shop is absolutely packed with items and like a little maze you can wander around from one eye candy to the next. The sheer diversity of product is mind boggling for such a small place. Incense is always abundant so you will leave the shop smelling like a dream. Crystal Wizard is really worth the extra twenty minutes or so out of Newport or Lincoln City. Our first visit here we found an amanita growing in the parking lot just adding to the already magical air to this business! I mean you kind of get the idea of it being magical from the name! they have a Huge selection of beautiful crystals, tarot decks, candles, incense, books, meditation tools, and so many other pretty things to admire! i think we've had the pleasure of meeting both the owner Jean and her friend Bev during our different visits. They are both so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, each time we've visited we had wonderful conversations with them. The best shop of its kind I've found outside a major city. This is not only books and jewelry and rocks/crystals/gemstones -- but a wonderful selection of the best spiritual art and sculpture around. Someone here has great taste and even better resources to have so many excellent artists represented. Many birthday gifts will be bought here in the future.... And candles. They have beautiful dipped candles. And incense. Tarot and divination -- and as a collector of art of this type -- I found at least 3 decks I've never seen before (!!!) A few of the tools of some of the more esoteric forms of spirituality.... alter pieces, pouches, boxes and bags to hold it all.... a few pieces of clothing and accessories.... One whole wall is full of music CDs -- what more could you ask. a wonderful selection and an even more wonderful surprise to find this shop so close to home! I fell in love with the place and with Michaela, the guide there. She was incredibly kind and helpful, and definitely in tune with the universe. She spent an unhurried half hour with me and, as with all the best guides, she led me to realize what I was doing in my life that was harmful and needed released. Twice a year when my mom and daughter and I come to the beach we visit this wonderland of crystals and rocks. I usually end up buying something exquisite. Unfortunately this last time we had a very unpleasant experience. For the first time there was a young girl in her twenties that was running the shop that day. She did not at all fit with the relaxing energy of the shop. She was very indifferent to the point of being rude. Not just to me but also my adult daughter. We both spent a considerable amount of money with not so much as a thank you. She actually seemed a bit put out. She was on the phone the whole time talking to a friend. I saw her treat another customer the same way. We were all very disappointed but will give the shop another try since this was the only time this has happened. This is a wonderful place to feed your soul. Amazing amethyst (my favorite) and other gems in shapes large and small, carved and natural. The staff is great, both human and feline. They offer a wide selection of items from incense (the store always smells wonderful!) to high end gallery pieces. The inventory includes music, books, candles, lotions, herbs, drums, artwork, textiles, small to large stones, jewelry and lots more.
