As a gift to myself and my friends, I thought doing sound bath healing would be a great wat to release any blockages, and open ourselves to the journey. I searched on IG for " sound bath healing Bay Area" and Saisha is one of the three ladies I reached out to as I was specifically looking for Black or POC practitioners. I sent a DM to each, but for whatever reason, I decided to look up Saisha's phone number and reach out instead. Saisha answered promptly and was just as excited as I was about the idea I had. I was only a week away from my event and she was available and very informative about what she could provide and all the services she does. I didn't feel pressured at all to do more and less than what I wanted. Her energy on the phone was the same in person, and I appreciated her combo of professionalism with warmth. She gave us an amazing experience and had myself and my guests extremely grateful for the energy she produced with her singing bowls, drum and instruments. Her assistant was wonderful as well, and took video and pictures and shared them with us after. I will definitely work with Saisha again in the future. He has seemed anxious, tense, and getting aggressive. With nothing to go on from his medical team, we decided to give Reiki a try. This morning was our first session, and it was incredible to be a part of it. Within minutes of starting, the horse was releasing tension through huge yawns - I've never seen so many yawns in one stretch! Throughout the session, he started to visibly relax, and by the end of the session, he was relaxed, socially engaged, and curious. We will continue to help him release what he is carrying around to get him back to a happy therapy horse! I've been sort of going through a rough patch aka that which is 2012-2019 (yep) and I'd been doing a lot of soul searching, questioning, and experimenting. My best friend who lives in Las Vegas had mentioned her experience with Reiki and how great her experience was, so I began to do my research. It wasn't until maybe last year that I was aware of people's energies and more specifically chakras and their effects on people. I had always just felt mentally disconnected from my body and as if my energy(energies?) inside were clogged and extremely stagnant. With what little I knew of Reiki, I thought I'd benefit from a session. Why not? I actually searched on Yelp for a practitioner, and came across Reiki Works. I didn't know what I was going into and I didn't know how to prepare. Reiki was a new experience. This made me a bit nervous. I didn't even know if Reiki was "going to work". Luckily enough, Maret helped me feel at ease and she's a great person to talk to in general. It felt more like hanging out and catching up with a friend more than it did seeing a practitioner who has to do work on you, so some of my nervousness dissipated. I'm really, extremely fortunate that Maret was the one to co-pilot this cathartic Reiki session with me. It was an inexplicable experience that was both physical and mental. I don't know what happened exactly, but I am for sure reaping the benefits of just that one session alone. I will most definitely be booking more sessions with Maret further down the line, after I do some homework and introspection of my own. Trust me when I say to trust Maret as your co-pilot!
