Every single time I come in her with or without an appointment I have problems. Whether thats sitting in the chair for 20+ min and them saying we will be with you in one second as I'm walking out the door. My nails always look crooked, not even, you name it. They are alright if you just need something done. I have my nails done a certain way very often at another salon that was unexpectedly closed before the holiday. This time I went back to SNS dip in hopes of a shorter more natural look. The color I choose didn't match what actually showed up on my nails. I was not pleased, my nail tech did try to help the situation by going over it in another gel color that was closer (but not exactly) what I wanted. It works for the event I have to go to but I'll be taking these off immediately after. They have TONS of uneven groves which causes them to look very clump and not natural at all. For me the point of SNS is for it to look like nail polish on your nails, this doesn't. Again, overall they tried, but as my experience showed, the reviews are accurate. read more

Second bad Mani / Pedi I have had here. Asked multiple times for them to correct it and no luck. Very sloppy and rushed job - doesn't care about quality just getting as many people started as possible so that they get paid. Changed my person doing my nails 3 times . I went in to get my nails done. I took my daughter in law along. She ended up in the first chair and me in the second. My daughter in law proceeded to pull out her phone and show the salonist how extensive she wanted them done. She didn't tell me us that it would be really expensive. So no one came to do my nails. I got up because I knew her nails would be expensive. My daughter in law didn't ask me first about everything she wanted done. I ended up not getting my nails done because gets was $65. I usually can go in and get my nails and toes done for 90$. Because the nail tech didn't tell us how expensive it would be, I will never go back their again. And I used to go there every other month I'm so disappointed. I couldn't afford my nails to be done at that point. read more

Went in to get my eyebrows done. My eyebrows weren't bad, as I had just gotten them done 3 weeks ago. They just needed a clean up, and that can clearly be seen. This lady went to TOWN on my eyebrows. I'm talking like 25 mins of plucking and waxing. I knew it was going to be bad. She gives me the mirror. I immediately say "oh they're really thin" she just says "no they're not" and tries to show me the mirror again, like that would change anything about them. I didn't say anything, went to pay, didn't tip. I don't understand how someone can allow someone to walk out like this. They're messed up, yes. But the fact that they aren't even the same type of messed up is not understandable to me at all. I can't even try to fill them in to look decent. I have had SNS/dipped nails for many years. Never has anyone ever had me soak my fingers for 20 minutes in pure acetone so the product could be removed, was put out when I chose a color and changed my mind (before ever starting), had to ask that my nails be thinner at the nail bed because it was so thick it would be obvious as they grew out (he grumbled at me for that), was annoyed when I asked for the nails to not be filed on the underside or up the side so they looked flat but did it anyway, asked for round shape, got square, but the worst was that when you look at the nails from the side they look like a roller coaster track. He was on the phone the entire time, and was looking away and not at my nails when using the electric file, and several times filed so long in one spot it got hot and I had to jerk my hand away to get his attention. No attention to cleanliness. Dust everywhere on the work area. Bottles with so much gunk on them they could not be closed properly, and drying out product used anyway. Dirty instruments. Starting this by self-admitting that I am PICKY when it comes to getting my nails done, so if you're less high-maintenance in the nails department than I am, you'd likely be very very happy coming here hahaha. The staff is super nice, both over the phone and in-person. They have a wide variety of color selection & we're able to get me in immediately as a walk-in. My technician was extremely nice, and you could tell he cared about what he was doing because I saw him multiple times closely examining things. The only gripe I have is that the shape isn't great- I have never had a full-set done where someone barely spent any time on filing, which is what happened today. If he had done more of that, it would've been absolutely perfect, but regardless, the polish is even, he was super sweet, & I still tipped 20%. This will be my back-up salon for sure; they're very sweet and great when you're in a pinch!! read more

I have been here a few times over the years. Usually it's at least decent, but this time was NOT great (or even good). I got a pedicure, and the staff was very nice but I didn't get a good result. First of all, when the lady was working on my nails, she asked if she could go under a bit to clean them. I said that was fine but did not expect her to be digging so deep that she pulled my nail out of the nail bed, which hurt really badly (and I'm not necessarily sensitive). This will likely result in an ingrown toenail because it is very deep. When it came time to paint my nails, another lady took her place. She has done the designs before and they've been alright. I showed her what I wanted (a simple flower outline) and she said she would do something a bit different, but I decided to trust her. I didn't like the way it was going as I watched her paint it but I told myself to trust the process. However, the end result wasn't even a flower, just a semicircle??? She could tell I was confused and asked if that was okay and I said "yeah, I guess...?" which I shouldn't have done but it was obvious that I asked for something different. She was very nice and I don't like being confrontational but over all not a great experience. Don always does a great job though and I wish I asked him to do my pedi instead. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I am visiting from Florida, I have had my nails done many, many times. I walked in asked if someone was available to do a color change on my toes and a full set of acrylics. I was told yes and to pick a color. I was handed a basket of colors and was told someone would be right with me. I sat for a few minutes and then was told that he had to finish his lunch and then he would be with me. I was then asked if wanted dip, I said no. He started off fine, putting tips on and cutting them shorter. He started adding the acrylic, just plopped it on and made it very flat. I have learned to wait till later in the process before I ask questions. Then he asked how I wanted the shaped. He started to shape and I was not really happy but wanted to see how he finishes. He then gets ready to paint, goes straight to color, usually there is a base clear coat. He puts on 2 layers and asks if I want a third and I said no because then it looks too thick and he said no, some colors need 3 layers and I said that it actually makes it look really thick and I don't like that look. He then kept arguing with me and said that a third layer helps shape the look of the nail. Actually, the shape and arch should be done with the acrylic and then just a nice cover with the color. He started on my toes, color change, he was really rough. I literally left there, went next store to Publix and bought nail files so I could fix the shape as best as I could. They look like he watched a few you tube videos and now says he is a nail tech. They need more instruction and practice. The pedicure looks like I did it myself. read more

This is my go-to nail place! I used to work for the Ingles across and would come here after work to get my nails done. I've been a loyal customer since Anna owned the shop. She had some employees that weren't that great in terms of service but also had some really solid ones, including her sister. They recently had a new owner so Anna no longer works here. However, David does my nails now and he makes them look as fantastic as Anna did (if not better)! The salon isn't super spacious but it is clean and the current employees are accommodating and overall pretty nice. I recommend booking appointments for David since he can get busy during the weekend, but I think walk-ins for him during the early weekdays should be fine. read more

Moved here recently and tried Crystal Nails for an SNS/dip and a pedicure. I've been getting my nails done for years and also never had anyone soak my finger tips in a bowl of acetone before. I questioned it but the tech ignored me as if he didn't hear me ask about it. He was very rough when clipping my cuticles and filing my nails. Also, when he was finished with my SNS, a few of my nails were crooked. The pedicure was just okay. He did try and up sell me when I specifically said that I wanted a basic pedicure and polish -- nothing else. I definitely won't go here again. read more

The workers were very nice and efficient and their massage chairs are awesome, it even comes with an USB port so you can charge your phone! They use the liners for pedicures so I do appreciate that. Went in the other day without an appointment and was seated right away for a pedicure. They did an excellent job and were very attentive. Made appointment for myself and my daughter for later in the day for gel manicures. We were greeted warmly when we returned. We were offered water and they treated us like family while we were there. I have been coming to this nail salon for two years. An older lady I have never seen before did my pedicure this last time. The actual pedicure itself was fine but the end result was a very botched nail polish finish. I asked if she would please repaint them and she just kept trying to fix them and even adding polish, all the while having then been there for an hour and 15 minutes. Having to get back to work, I had to just tell them to stop and asked if they would just discount the pedicure since I had to repaint my toes at home. She took five dollars off of my pedicure. Five dollars? I wasted a good portion of my afternoon to walk out with a terrible looking pedicure. My nine-year-old daughter would have done a better job painting my nails and quite frankly had I known I was going to walk out of there with what I did, I would've had my daughter paint my nails. I asked the manager if she thought five dollars was fair and then was given a hard time as if I was the one being unreasonable. I explained that I have been coming there for a long time - as the manager is well aware - and I never have I been unhappy with their service. I paid $25 and wish I'd just done it myself. Unreal. I took a picture of the terrible polish job and posted it, but it shows up as Crystal Nails' MAIN photo. Feeling that was a bit unfair, I took it down. Showed up and was told to sit in a pedicure chair and then waited 45 minutes to get helped. The lady that did my pedicure had long nails and it made the massage part uncomfortable. To top it all off the visit ended with one of the workers and the owners screaming at each other over lunch breaks in a shop full of people and the cops were called.
