It happens to be in downtown Cle Elum, and as in with walking distance to a few local bars and restaurants. From the moment we stepped in, we felt so much at home. The space was warm and charming with attention to detail on all levels. The room had an appealing modern atmosphere. The cozy bed with luxury sheets and pillows were amazing to sleep in. We loved having our coffee in the morning in the front room with the small kitchenette. We also enjoyed having access to a fridge where we could bring back a nice bottle of wine for a nightcap. When we went to check out, I have the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ellen and her adorable dog Lady. The lobby is quite elegant with treasure troves a beautiful treasures. I shared with her that we truly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back!

I did see they were listed on Airbnb as well, but I booked directly through their website, we got the King studio for around $200 for the night. The morning of check-in I received an email for a contactless check-in, that was a nice touch! The hotel is in a great location and main street is just around the corner from it! We parked on the street, got into our room with the code they emailed us, and walked into town for dinner. The room is super cute! Nice modern touches all around. The walls are kinda thin, later in the night we heard ppl downstairs, it sounded like in the staircase, and it was pretty loud, but didn't last for long. The bed was comfy, they had dishes, mini fridge (no freezer in this room), and a convenient microwave. I did notice this hotel is listed on Redfin for sale ($4+ mill, I was just poking around Redfin and noticed the listing). Hopefully if they sell, the facilities will stay as nice! I asked the front desk and they have been open for almost 2 years they said. Looks brand spanking new still, especially compared to the historic buildings of Roslyn. Loved our stay here and would recommend to friends under current management! (which a friend did end up booking for a weekend because she saw my photos I posted on my IG hehe)

I wanted a different view and perspective of Mount Rainier after spending time on the Skyline Trail the day before. Park rangers are available to answer questions. There is a larger gift shop with food and snacks in the building next door. The nearby nature trail around the visitor center has picnic tables for eating and relaxing. Mount Fremont Lookout Trail is next to the Sunrise Visitor Center and is a popular trail to hike. The views are gorgeous from this location. The parking lot is huge, but does fill up during the day. Sunrise is only open in the summer months.

Our rental space was PERFECT, my family was extremely happy, and comfortable during our stay. The property was very clean, spacious, adorned with all the amenities, and childproofed (THANK YOU Daisy!) My husband and I plan to book again next year for an extended stay just to make it a fall family tradition. When planning a trip to Cle Elm and seeking adequate space to accommodate your family, I highly recommend All Seasons Vacation Rentals!

The kitchen staff were amazing and kind! The rooms and dorms were clean and had tons of games available. Sledding was so fun, there were so many different sled options. The caboose itself was the highlight of the trip for the kids. They thought it was soooo cool and loved their own little bunks up high. The kids also fell in love with the resident goats, bunnies and chickens on the property, as well as partaking in numerous games of horseshoes. The check in process was smooth and we loved the personal touch from Matt and his family. To top it off, we were rewarded with a gourmet breakfast made to order in the morning that was on par or better than any high end restaurant. We will absolutely return here next time we visit the area.

The Iron Horse Inn B&B was converted over 30 years ago from a long-empty lodging house for railroad…read moreworkers into a bed and breakfast, one I frequented over half a dozen times over the years. In late 2019 a chimney fire spread to the whole structure, luckily when there were no guests present, and the inn burned to the ground. Others might have walked away, but the owners didn't, they rebuilt it better than ever. The new Inn has four spacious bedrooms on the main floor, plus an expansive common room where one can lounge on sofas by the gas fireplace, make a cup of tea, chat with other guests. It also has tables for breakfast, which featured delicious egg dishes with eggs the owners let our granddaughter "harvest" from the chicken coop nearby when we arrived. The new inn is quite a change from "before the fire" when the original room configuration was small rooms and common bathrooms down the hallway, just the way the railway workers had it. But there's something to be said for spacious rooms and private bathrooms, as it is now. Over the years the inn also acquired four cabooses. These have been open while the inn itself was rebuilt, but without breakfast as there was no common room or kitchen for that. Breakfast in the main inn building is now part of the deal for the cabooses. Our adult son and his wife and two kids (7& 11) were over the moon over the experience of sleeping in a caboose! They all shared one of the two cabooses that have child-sized beds in the former cupula sitting area atop the caboose. The adults had the queen bed on the main level of the caboose and the kids were up high, similar to the top bunk of a bunk bed, with windows giving them a 360 view when the curtains were pulled back. We are SO happy to see the Iron Horse Inn B&B back at "full steam" again. Our room, the common room and the caboose were spanking clean, the breakfast tasty and filling, the coffee endless, the hosts some of the friendliest b&b owners we've encountered over the years. The Inn is also connected by a short path to the former rail yard of the Milwaukee Road train line that closed up shop in the 1970s. Train buffs will want to spend a bit of time walking around a self-guided tour of the train yard, where the station is still there in fading glory, and remains of the former roundhouse and other structures may be examined like archeological ruins. This is also a great area for biking, and many years ago I led a bike club trip from the inn. Quiet country roads parallel I-90 for many miles in both directions and also off to Roslyn and Lake Cle Elum, and the path of the Milwaukee Road train line is now a bike path that runs from the Seattle suburbs to points east of the Columbia River.
