Fantastic vibes in this place! There is a section up front selling plants and local works. I…read moreordered The Nerve (hot) and my partner ordered an iced chai. We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. We stopped by to get out of the house during a long weekend and will definitely be back.

When on vacation…read morewe try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning we decided to go to Wild Root. We were headed over to the Discovery and Science Center and so I wanted to find a place close by when I stumbled on Wild Root. This coffee shop is located in downtown Panama City and was pretty nondescript to the point that my wife and I missed it the first time around. Thankfully we ultimately found it on our second go-round. The inside of this coffee shop features string lights, local art, and plants, with a calm, earthy vibe. There's a mix of lounge seating and standard tables, as well as display shelves with snacks, coffee gear, and cold drinks. For my coffee on this morning, I ultimately decided on a large hot Black Strap Latte while my wife went with a large iced version of their Spicy Chocolate Cappuccino. The menu described mine as "Black strap molasses, espresso, and steamed milk," while my wife's was listed as "latte made with raw cacao, agave, cayenne, and milk." I thought that my latte here was really good. The molasses gave it a rich, deep sweetness that paired well with the espresso, and I appreciated that it wasn't overly sugary. There was a good coffee flavor in addition to the milk and molasses. My wife ended up liking her iced latte as well, especially the combination of chocolate and cayenne spice, which gave a little backend heat but wasn't overpowering. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I liked that they had unique specials, and both my wife and I enjoyed what we had ordered.

They have phenomenal crepes and lattes. I tried the strawberry cheesecake crepes a few times now…read moreand they were FABULOUS. They are good to eat there or takeout. I ordered a latte with normal sweetness (they also ask you to pick the level of sweetness). Which was well made and tasted great. They have ice cream too but I haven't tried the cream yet, but it appears to be the good quality kind. I may skip the crepes and get ice cream next time to see. The service is GREAT. They are always kind and their costumer service was wonderful at each visit I've had so far. The lighting is great. Their main window gives a lot of natural light. Seating is plentiful, but if you have a big party, you'll need to make arrangements and probably call ahead. The parking is decent, but slightly awkward when coming from the back of the building. It shares a parking lot with Little Caesar's pizza. Easy access to get back onto 77 from front of building and close to Publix and Aldi so you can get some shopping done too. I would've posted a pic of my crepes... but those were the first to go... like it was my last meal. No time for pictures. Try them you'll see what I'm talking about. I would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to come back with friends and family.
