Yesterday I walked in an sat next to one of the owners and chit chatted , she walked off to talk to some ladies who were setting up for a meeting., 4 employees were behind the counter pretty much ignoring me until I said " hey is some going to take my order, a tall girl said " you have to come around here to the register" mind you this counter in not that big, I said " you can take my order from here ". I wasn't be rude or anything, as I have ordered from there a bunch of times. She walked to the back room and was yacking with here follow employees and ignored me. I waited till the owner was done with the other ladies and waved here over. I said " you are in the customers service business and treatment like this does not enhance it" . She told me all customers are required to order from the one location. She took my order and walked off over and v made the order. So the tall girl came out and was making coffee and I told her , not rudely , " you didn't score any points with me " the owner came over and berated me about how these were her employees and she would handle it ( which I totally doubt). Really you would berate a customer but not your entitled employees??? It's such a contrast to everything else around it that one struggles to comprehend being here. The space is huge, with cared for gardens and seating throughout them. The chicken taziki wrap is phenomenal. The coffees are perfect. The juices are invigorating. And, enjoying it all surrounded by plants is a purely spiritual experience. Immediately upon entering, there is some coffee and merchandise to your right, the ordering counter is straight ahead, and there's plenty of seating throughout the rest of the space. My wife and I were both drawn to their specialty menu, which was extensive and colorful. We both ended up choosing the same pistachio cookie latte, though I went with a large hot version, while my wife opted for a medium iced one. After about a five-minute wait, we had our coffees and headed on our way. My coffee turned out to be quite good. The first thing that hit me was the pistachio flavor, followed by the sweetness from the shortbread, and finally the coffee and milk came through at the finish. While I would have preferred a slightly stronger coffee flavor, I have to admit I basically inhaled it since I really enjoyed the taste. My wife also enjoyed her pistachio latte, and while she usually has quite a bit left by the time we get home, this time it was almost gone which says a lot. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed the vibe of The Press and thought their specials were great as well.
