Wow, this little movie theater tucked away in Elizabethtown, Kentucky was such a great find. I believe it is family owned, which I love, and the prices were super affordable. One thing I really appreciated was that the theaters don't have steep staircases- makes it so much easier for older people and honestly just more comfortable overall. The concessions were also reasonably priced, and they even had a free popcorn seasoning station, which was a fun touch. The ranch seasoning was our favorite and definitely a must try. This theater has comfortable reclining seats and good concession prices. It's the only theater in E-Town, and I like that it's less than a 10-minute drive from my house. My family and I have been coming here for over two years, and we've never had a bad experience. Buying tickets is very easy. You can use apps like Fandango, show a screenshot on your phone, or print a paper ticket. They also have a kiosk and staff who can help. There is plenty of parking, and on Tuesdays the ticket prices are lower than normal, which is a nice bonus. The concession lines are usually short since it's a small town. The only downside is that the theater doesn't have a big billboard or street sign. It's about two blocks off the main road, so if you're not from the area, you might miss the turn. Overall, we're thankful to have this theater in our community. I highly recommend it for watching your favorite movies. read more

The theatre has ample parking and an easy ticketing process. The concessions have self-serve condiments available. I love their reclining seating. We really enjoyed the experience and we will be checking to see what's available for children at the sensory diminished movies in the future. *Edited review* I usually make plans several days in advance when taking my son to the movies. He is autistic and needs time to prepare for our outings. We picked the showtime that worked best for us, but when we got there the time had changed. This is the first time this has happened to us and it was very disappointing. I spoke with a manager and she said new showtimes are posted on Tuesday mornings. Small theaters with nice roomy lounge chairs to put your feet up. Even the front row is not too close. We didn't try the food but they had great options. Favorite theater-- love the ease of buying tickets online and getting self serve snacks and drinks. This theater is just as nice as big city theaters but much cheaper. Nice when it is function fully. BUT has a lot of non-working areas that you have no way of knowing until you walk in. Soda machines not working or out many times and no backup plans for customers regarding beverages. Popcorn has been stale sometimes and burnt one time that really stunk up the place. Seems like have some internal management control issues with getting product and working on customer service! Other than that 1 time enjoyed nice seats and ample room. Liked the self serve of butter on popcorn. Chips for nacho are stale in the bags you get in self serve. Basically theatre for movie enjoyment is great, snack area needs a lot of improvement. Very clean. Nice workers. Just the price is outrageous. 5 tickets was almost $70. And the food was just as much. We had 5 medium drinks and 3 medium popcorn. The service was good. And the seats were comfortable. Just be ready to spend some serious cash. read more

Elizabethtown has been in desperate need of a decent movie theater nearly my entire life. The theater itself is very nice. The seats are chosen at point of purchase and can even be purchased in advance online. The seats recline. There is ample room between rows. Sound and picture quality is very good. The screen is HUGE so the first two rows are almost pointless because you will destroy your neck watching a movie from that space. The snack selection is also good. Lots of options. You can even snag an alcoholic drink if that is your thing. However, the popcorn and sodas are highway robbery! Popcorn is the cheapest snack to produce, why charge over $5 for a bag? I've been to this theater twice and I've yet to break down and buy any food here. Last night I left the theater at 9pm and the bathroom floor with dirty and sticky. Staff need to make sure they are constantly cleaning the space. This is a new facility and should be maintained better than it is. I think more trash cans in the hallways would be helpful for patrons that are responsible enough to throw their trash away. All in all, a great addition to Elizabethtown. read more

Although this theater is clean and the food is good, the manager is not at all professional. The previews are minimal so it's imperative you be on time. Any issues and you will be treated like you are the problem. No matter how nice you ask. Any front row seats, about 3 rows are impossible to see whole screen. I'm very sorry the old Etown theater shut down. It was a great place, just a little old. read more

I went to this theater on Saturday 10/16/21 and Sunday 10/17/21. Several stalls in the womens restroom did not have toilet paper, not all dispensers had soap or paper towels and the trash can was not emptied. Also, one of the stall doors was removed. Management needs to do a better job. read more

Had a free Sunday night and we decided to try the new movie theater. Order your tickets online and then pick them up at the kiosk by swiping the card you used or scanning the code from your email (the scan didn't work for me, not sure why, so I had to swipe my card). They have a good selection of fountain and bottled drinks as well as beer and wine. They have some other food options which is nice, we had the corndog bites and they were good. Normal selection of candy and they have A Sweet Retreat Bakery cookies. The theater was really clean and the recliners were super comfy! The legs lift and the back reclines, I say this because not all movie theater recliners work this way. Restroom were very clean as well. Certainly my first movie option in etown! read more

Absolutely disappointing. First off walking into the lobby is extremely industrial looking with no sound insulation as every childs scream resonated and echoed throughout the building. The cost of snacks is damn near highway robbery as a large soda and popcorn will set a person back roughly $12.00. The theater seating is a joke. The screen is too large and high off the floor for distance from the seats. I found myself moving my head back and forth to see the whole screen. Needless to say I watched be only a few commercials and left without watching the movie. read more

Very good place popcorn was a little salty but don't want to lower star rating soda was good though also has very comfortable seats and can recline if ur uncomfortable also the large popcorn and soda are FREE REFILL the cost a bit but very good for the price definitely 1 set back is the sheer amount of people that get seats reserved but probably cause i was going to watch Mario movie candy choices are incredible from airheads to M&M's to milk duds etc. overall I love this place and it deserves a 5 star read more

Crowne Pointe is really turning some heads in Etown. From their above-average concessions to their fully reclining seats, you can't go wrong here. Tickets and food are both pricey, just like any theater, but quality is there in full force. In my opinion, they could have done well to have included another set of restrooms rather than just the one, but it works as it is. It's just a mild inconvenience to have to run all the way to the opposite end of the hallway at times for a bathroom break. They run specials on tickets on certain days as well as fund raisers on a regular basis for organizations and charities. Not to mention, they also offer sensory-friendly viewings for Children's movies- all acts that are head and shoulders above any competition local or abroad. I certainly recommend it to anyone who is asking. It's by far, the best movie experience you're going to get in Hardin County. read more

Great Video quality and amazing sound!! I have recently stopped into Crowne Pointe Theatre, and have since been a returning customer. This is now the second Movie theatre in the area, and by far the nicest. You purchase your tickets at a kiosk, (you chose a specific seat... although you can purchase it online to save time) The theatre also features different sized auditoriums. They have one massive room, along with standard sized, and even some small rooms that probably seat around 30. So it's possible for a pretty large group to go together! I Read some other reviews on this place and they mentioned the screen being too large... Well I don't really see how that's a concern haha. (Though the front row you will be facing directly upward) The chairs are power recliners!! There is a snack area that sells the standard popcorn and candy, along with certain foods like nachos and loaded potato slices! (I believe they plan on even selling Boom Bozz pizza eventually) Obviously since this is a brand new facility they will be charging the premium amount for things... like other reviewers have said $5 is pretty steep for a soda. Although it's not like you are being forced to purchase anything either.... lol. So far I have been probably half a dozen times, and it has always met my expectations! Reclining seats, a wide selection of reasonably priced food (especially all you can eat cheese for your pretzel and nachos), and beer- what more could you want when enjoying a movie? It takes a time or two to understand how all the self-service stations work but they really do get you into the movie quickly. They're also very generous about supporting the community by hosting fundraising events for nonprofits. We're so lucky to have Crowne Pointe in Etown! read more

Please know that their free refills are out of a styrofoam cup and these cups are made very flimsy. One split right down the middle on my 12 year old. Left her wet and embarrassed her. I explained the situation to the male manager and he still made me pay for another cup. They will not allow you to use the same cup as you did the first time. They make you take the styrofoam or pay for another drink. I understand the health code part of this but don't advertise free refills and take the risk of somone ruining their cloths or someone elses and being embarrassed. Then don't even bother with an apology or rectifying the issue. Poor customer service. read more

My complaints are that in the smaller theater, you can hear the movie beside you which sucks. Also, the layout for concessions and getting to the theater is horrible. I hate it! Seats are comfortable but the theater was chilly. I would recommend bringing a jacket or even a blanket. My husband didn't mind the cold and felt it kept him awake (he tends to fall asleep when his feet are up). I felt the cold was distracting. I will come here again for a matinee.
