Meeting place for Beyond Ballooning hot air balloon experiences. I did not stay here and can only comment on the breakfast that came included with my balloon flight. Buffet breakfast with a pancake making gadget and an omelette station where the Chef makes to order. Hot selection of scrambled eggs, bacon (normal or crispy), beans, sausages, tomato and mushrooms. Cold selection of fruit, cereal, pastries and juices. Whilst never one to turn down an all-you-can-eat breakfast, I'd heard great reviews and unfortunately it fell short of my expectations. It just didn't taste like the real thing. The sausages and meatballs in particular were bland and the eggs and bacon were nothing like you could make from home. The egg station is probably your best bet as it's made fresh and any way you want them. The pancake machine was slow to make just two. I'd much rather a chef made them fresh or just had them pre made in the hot selection range. read more

This place is a little oasis in the Hunter Valley A great golf course, a boutique brewery, two restaurants, a bar, a pool, a kids club and you're always looked after by friendly staff. Have stayed here twice (the second because we really enjoyed our first stay) -- meaning the good service and value for money is consistent with every experience. The Villas are extremely modern & spacious. Rooms/beds are very comfortable. Red Salt, the high end restaurant in the hotel that we tried on our second stay, I would not recommend. Although the ambience is nice, we (a group of 7) experienced poor service from the wait staff to the efficiency in food serving. We waited almost one hour for our meals, and when they arrived, 1/3 were incorrect and my steak was overcooked and cold. Definately not worth the fine-dining prices we paid. Oh, and bring cash / eftpos as the restaurant charges additional $ if you pay with credit card. read more

We've stayed here more than half a dozen times with the hubby have always been well looked after and get little perks every now and again for being IHG members. At times inexperienced staff may do a booboo or two but it's usually tended to with no drama. Red salt always has beautiful meals and a great wine list. Last night we had the 3 hat chef special beef it was exquisite! Deserts are awesome too. Their breakfast is a little ordinary and overpriced at $38 pp so we skipped it and went cheese and wine tasting instead. read more

Had a fantastic stay. The villa was great with plenty of room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when things were outside of their control. I would give more stars except the breakfast let it down. It is a good breakfast buffet with a number of options but not worth $40 especially when they start packing it up 10 minutes after you arrive. read more

The hotel is newish and spacious. Good facilities and friendly (sometimes a little inexperienced) staff but overall good standard. The restaurant Red Salt offers great steaks and more, unfussy menu but the focus is on quality produce and they succeed in delivering. Good wine list too. Worth a visit. read more

What can I say? Absolutely loved this place. We rented a 2 bedroom villa. It was spacious with all that you need for a stay. Cooking facilities And utensils. Clean plenty of parking. Would definitely go back and recommend to others. The only negative is that we had friends who also booked a villa. When we arrived we were put next to them. However the access control cards aren't working due to a faulty lock. So we had to move. But because if this. We received a bottle of wine, cheese platter and 15% off our first night. read more

We were mortified to book a so-called Deluxe Suite for three people for one night, only to find we were paying enough to stay elsewhere for a week. They charged us over $400 for one night and yet the room was awful. Beds too small, double not queen, no top sheets supplied, not enough cups, towels, tea, coffee, milk or anything. Customer service was non existent as the asian girl on the front desk said basically "bad luck that the price". We will never ever stay there again or recommend it to anyone going to the vineyards. the breakfast and bath in the room were the only good points of the whole entire stay - and it was my birthday celebration so more than six rooms had been booked. read more
