So this place has another location in locust grove, I've been going for months and despite being cut by to sharp clippers and having a bad cut or two I found a barber I liked. Today however I arrived early at 830am, two people ahead of me, barbers finally arrived and began cutting, I was next up in the chair for my usual barber. At about 930 a car pulls up and drops off a child to one of the guys in the chair ahead of me. I love kids but I'm sorry there is a order to things and I waited and was next. I was told it was his child so that's why. After I calmed down I asked "my" barber so if I have kids I can come and wait and call them while I'm getting cut and they can come skip everyone in-line...he said yes...so, if you're a dad this is a great shop for you especially if your kids like sleeping in but if not beware you may get pushed back. I returned here for the first time in a while last week and my hair was actually cut by the owner, Tutt, who is actually a pretty great guy. He is very skilled and well-versed in cutting hair, cares deeply about his customers, and has a very easy-going attitude. I do not entirely enjoy the music selection due to some obscenities being included in the lyrics, but this is a good place and a beacon of the neighborhood for barbers in the African-American community of Griffin. I will certainly be back, and I've discovered Monday afternoons are often the best times to go. I don't recommend this place if your in need or a haircut, I went in on a Sunday and they open at 1, I got here early. About 12:50, the barber came at 1:15 to open the doors and let everyone in. It was me and a few other people, a little kid walked in first then I was second in line. The kid sat in the barber chair and I sat in the chair waiting for my turn. More people decide to show up and sat in the waiting room. After the barber cut the first boy's hair another kid sat in the chair, I didn't wanna make a big deal so I just let it go, more people walked in and this lady beside me said if I was going next and I said yes, she knew I was here the whole time because she had just walked in when I was waiting, all of a sudden a random guy walked in and sat down and when he got finished with the kids haircut, the guy that just walked in just got up and sat down to get a haircut, keep in mine it was only 1 barber so it took a while for the two kids to finish there haircut, i waited for a hour. The guy sat on the barber chair and the lady beside me said that it was my turn and that I should have gone next, the barber ignored her so I spoke up and said it was supposed to be my turn and the barber then said "look the guy said he's been waiting in his car at 11:40 which was bull**** because there was barley anyone in the parking lot, I decide to get up and leave and the barber had the audacity to say "your next bruh" and the guy in the chair started laughing, I walked out of there as soon as I could, DONT come here, they pick who's hair to cut if they know you, doesn't matter if you was waiting for hours, if you know someone in there they'll cut your hair first out of everyone who was waiting in there for hours. Don't bother coming back here the service is awful. I don't care if your disparate for a haircut, these people will just waste your time and pick who goes first, and if you know one of the barbers they'll pick you to go next immediately. Took my son to get his haircut here. The sign on the front door said they open at 1pm on Sundays. We arrived shortly before 1pm and were first in line. Around 1:30 pm we made a phone call to the owner who assured us that someone was coming to open. After two and a half hours and several calls, still nobody showed up to open the barber shop. So I just left from getting my haircut and when I tell y'all the barbers are so trash. I was already hesitant to go because of the reviews i've gotten from my friends but I decided to go anyway. BIG MISTAKE. I have a good amount of hair , and he managed to nick it a good 5 times. He also managed to snag my ear piercing and it reopened so that's another plus. All and all I recommend no one go here! read more
