The pork tenderloin came nicely displayed with black pudding, and deep-fried, breaded ball. Restaurant has full menu and dessert; waitstaff are quite attentive. Gingerbread cheesecake was delicious with outstanding eye appeal. Two suggestions: a few additional choices for wine by the glass, and, slightly larger two-top tables and comfortable chairs allowing the diner more leg room.

Although unadvertised, there are several picnic tables out back for use at no charge. You also don't have to buy food from the pub to use them.

"Pub of the Year"…read more Yep. Pub of the Year 2005. Time to take down that sign, as this pub is stuck there. Bar has more pub snacks available than my local Tesco Extra. Card payments not accepted. However I'm sure the Spar next door can sell you a pint with more atmosphere. If you need something to eat from a plastic bag, this is where you need to be heading. Wondering why your local cash & carry has no 'board o' snacks' left? They are ALL nailed to the wall in here... Time for a refurb.
