In this casino, I played some machines that were ok, and the machines gave me the chance to sometimes get a bonus like Minor/Major, however, the Casino turned them off for a for few days (I'm a witness), until the casino reprogrammed/tightened the machines to the maximum ( like any other one). So, the last two days I played the same machines and they are no longer the same machines at all. There is no bonus anymore, no winnings in all, no matter how much money you put in, nothing gives back at all! This casino has become one greedy sh*&^hole Casino... SHAME ON YOU (c)GrossWind Casino!

Slot machines only at CrossWinds casino. If you like video poker or table games this is not the place for you.

Crowded, noisy, limited food and snacks. Didn't gamble much but the long lines at the ATMs seem to indicate that most were not winning

I do not know if I had beginners luck coming to casino, but this casino left a great impression on me. I like they have all sorts of games ranging from low to high volatile machines and I was able to gain at least 5000 tier points. I had a great first night with three handpays. The next day was not so lucky as I gave them back 2K. The following day I left with another 2 handpays. They do a 5% tax however on jackpots which is a bummer, but I guess most states do. They have a smoking and non-smoking session. Their food court is in the middle of the casino floor, but it might be an issue if they have kids as I am not so sure they can enter the casino to eat there and the main places to eat for dining. The casino is located out of the big city, but just 20 minutes away from Wichita and was able to go to the Tanganyika Park. The other good news is no homeless people come here, but you experience this usually in downtown or in Biloxi. They have plenty of drink stations as I usually get a drink. Handpays do not take a long time as most Boyd casinos and they are usually fast. Usually, I would tip, but Kansas state tax takes 5%. I really love this casino and the selection they have. I would definitely come back. I probably will not get 5 handpays this go around like I did, but I lasted at the casino.

We have gone here numerous times, sometimes once a week, others 2 or 3 times. Overall we have played at this Bingo at least 40 times over the last year or two. One complaint in the earlier reviews was that "the same people win" - well, frankly if that person is seeing that, they are a regular too - just like the "winners" they spoke about. Go often enough, and you will see some of the same people "win". Personally, we now go to their East location and have "won" the last 8 times in a row we've gone. Did we "win" more than we spent? No, not always, but we did "Bingo - some days multiple times. We have no affiliation with the business, and are friends with none of the staff. It's not "rigged" like another person said. Something not mentioned in ANY of the reviews I read - these people are VOLUNTEERS and the bingo is run to provide money to local charity and school programs. These workers are family and friends of the children and programs being supported. The Building itself is an older hall, with small bathrooms and a kitchen. They keep the areas clean, and the ventilation is ok, but with lots of people on crowded nights it can become a little stale. With only a couple of breaks during the games (all too short - only 2-3 minutes each) people have to rush to use the rest rooms and they can get messy. The kitchen is quite good, and for very reasonable pricing you can get some of the best burgers in the state. They carry a nice variety of food and snacks. The games are varied and you can win quite a lot of money. The single game payouts during the early birds and mini's vary based on the crowd and how many of the games are sold (obviously), but the actual amounts are quite reasonable. Regular session games (except the jackpot games) all have fixed payout amounts. On quiet nights they have 40-50 people playing - when jackpots are bigger they can have 100-150 people there. It does get loud, and the staff (depending on the charity being represented that night) can have a hard time keeping the noise down. They have plenty of monitors and ball displays around the rooms. They sell a large variety of pull tab games each night - and with larger crowds the pull tab payouts get larger. You can easily spend an extra $30to over $100 just on pull tabs if you play them all. They have a website for all three of their Bingo venues and it provides daily updates on their jackpot amounts and game specials. Hint: with big payout nights, go early - especially if you want to play the machines. I have two major complaints here. One is the speed of the early birds and early mini rounds. They call the numbers almost as fast as they come out of the machine (they say 4 seconds) - but don't try and count to 4 because you'll fall behind. People pay good money to play here, and if you miss one call - you're done. Some callers are not clear when they speak, and B-15 EASILY can be heard as G-50 - and again you're sunk if you make that mistake. Never buy more than 2 single sheets because they will NOT slow down, and unless you are a numbers speed reader you will NOT keep up. Just raising the count to 5 seconds would, in my opinion, make for a more reasonable play. Two: the machines. When the hall is busy, the WiFi will lag, and some machines will freeze up. You can raise your hand and ask for help with it - but they won't stop calling and I have missed two bingo's in my time playing because of it. People pay a high price to play those machines - when they have an issue the calling should stop until it is remedied, or it feels like they are taking your money. Hope this helps.

On February 3rd, I purchased 3 All-session tickets to the NAIA Nationals held at Hartmann Arena through the arena's website. The total cost with all service fees and taxes was $386.31. My son-in-law purchased an additional ticket the morning of the Nationals and paid $65.76 total through the arena's website for the same All-Session ticket. When I got to the arena, there was a sign stating the all-session tickets were $53. I understand that purchasing a ticket through a website does have "convenience fees" but do not understand paying $63 more per ticket than someone buying a ticket the day of the event from the same arena website. Their security is also lacking. As you are walking from one side of the arena with a pretzel in hand where they have food to another you are stopped and asked "did you purchase that here?" Which is a pretty asinine question considering your bags are searched as you enter and you cannot bring food or beverage in. I also saw them stop and search a medic/trainer's bag when they clearly have a badge.

First I tasted Lady Pearl, which is a sweet wine with a strawberry finish. Then I tried the Red Dirt Rose, which right now they have packaged as Rudolph Rose with a picture of Rudolph in it. This is such a cute idea and would make a nice Christmas present. I tried the Elderberry Spice, which is a mulled wine, best served warm for a cold winter's night. I wanted to break into a Christmas song. You can throw it in a crock pot and people will think you've been cooking it all day. They also have an adorable gift shop and I had to buy a magnet. I saw they do private tours and when I asked it's about 2 hours and you tour the winery, drink wine and even have a light repast for $25 a person. Good stop just south of Wichita!

But they don't do it with any panache. At all. No customer experience to speak of. You can buy a wine glass from here and of course bottles of wine. Also, no food for sale here. No baguettes or cheese or meats to eat with your wine. Though they let you bring your own food to eat there with your wine. There are a few tables to sit at. I wonder if this place is busy at all on Friday or Saturday evenings? I bought wine bottles from them. The wines are okay. Not fantastic. This is probably because we are in Kansas and not near any body of water. Oh, and the vineyard is on flat ground, not on a hill so water can run off easily. Basically, a basic vineyard. Nothing to write home about. Again, I'm spoiled by the rich Virginia wine country and Virginia wines. And Oregon wines and Pennsylvania wines.

Just to be upfront, I did not visit the casino or any of the restaurants aside from the one inside…read morethe water park so this review is pretty much based on the water park. I took my 2 kids for an overnight stay specifically for the waterpark. Booking online was easy, the rooms are about $200 per night and that includes waterpark access. Here's a list of pros and cons: Pros: *Parking was easy and relatively close to the entrance near the waterpark. *I requested a room closest to the waterpark and we definitely got that. *The waterpark is a decent size, much smaller than Great Wolf Lodge in KC but that was a perk for me since I'm a single mom taking 2 young kids. I was able to keep an eye on both of them no matter where I was in the park. *There's a snack cafe inside the waterpark with basic things like hot dogs, cotton candy, nachos, soda, and ice cream. The website says you're not supposed to bring your own food but I brought several bottles of water in my bag and no one said anything. *The lazy river was AWESOME! It's a good size that kept my kids entertained for hours and has jets that push you along in some spots so that kept it fun too. *There are slides for adults and bigger kids and for younger kids too. *There were plenty of chairs to put your stuff, lockers are available too but I didn't feel the need for them. *You can rent as many towels as you want for free, just make sure you return them or they are $15 each. *The restroom in the waterpark also has showers and stalls for changing clothes. The restroom was clean but the floor was VERY slippery when it was wet. I definitely recommend flip flops or water shoes. *Not overly crowded. Definitely more comfortable and more space than Great Wolf Lodge. Cons: *When we walked in to check in, not a single staff member at the desk greeted us or even appeared friendly. Finally a woman at the desk said "last name?" and that was her way of checking us in. *Obviously since it's a casino my kids immediately noticed the smell of cigarettes. Our hotel room on the beachfront side did not smell though. *The coffee shop and the more kid friendly restaurants outside the waterpark were not open, staff did not give a reason for this but it was disappointing as there isn't fast food close and this was my plan for our meals while here including breakfast. We ended up using Door Dash and ordering McDonald's for breakfast the next morning. *Our hotel room was a King bed with sofa sleeper. The room itself was nothing to write home about it, it was very basic and the TV was pretty small considering the size of the wall it was on. The sofa bed was dirty, there were pretzel crumbs on it and the mattress itself looked old and worn. You could feel the springs on it when you sat down. My son slept it on it and said it was fine, for an adult it would be miserable. There was a working mini fridge in the room, no microwave. The sheets/blankets were just okay. The room seemed like it was cleaned very quickly. *The waterpark hours suck. It is only open on Friday - Sunday. Opens at 4 PM Friday and not until 11 AM Saturday/Sunday. Keep in mind, other than a small overpriced arcade there's nothing for kids to do in the casino or surrounding area. My kids watched TV and played in the room but were really anxious to get to the waterpark so that was frustrating. *Most of the lifeguards seem to be attentive, there were a few that you could tell really didn't care to be there. Also I thought there would be more lifeguards, I only noticed 4. *The waterpark used to be accessible to guests only and recently they started offering day passes. I imagine this will mean a bigger crowd. Overall this is a great option if you're an hour or two at most away. I wouldn't drive more than an hour to get here. I would probably come back just because it is closer than Great Wolf Lodge and cheaper. If it gets more crowded due to Day Passes and if cost goes up then I won't be coming back.
