In coordination with the church, Father Erik traveled to San Diego to preside over my husband and I's wedding (at a Catholic Church) and was so lovely to interact with throughout the whole process. I've been checking churches in the area but it's tough given that most of the churches with young (20s and 30s) people fall into the Korean American group and, although I have like 4 or 5 Korean friends, it's definitely a more homogeneous, closely-knit and insular group to try and fit into than any other out there (Asian or otherwise). That's on me, though. I came due to a friend's suggestion (he's KorAm), but at the last minute, he flaked on me, and I ended up at a mostly KorAm church by myself, lol.
