My mother was a member of Lake Huron. A few months ago, my mom (who has memory loss diagnosed by a…read morephysician) was scammed out of almost $5000 while looking for a new job online. She took this out of state check to Frankenmuth Credit Union (as they participate in the co-op program) who failed to hold the check at all. The funds were made available right away. Tammy at Lake Huron called my mom to tell her that the check came back as fraudulent and that she would prosecute my mom if she did not have the money back to them by 6pm (it was noon at that time). Imagine how my mom felt at that point. I spoke with Tammy who was very unprofessional and told her that my mom did not have that money and that we needed to set up a payment plan. She said she was not authorized to do so. I asked her to direct me to somebody who could. I was directed to Martin Lee, who refused to even meet with me to hear the story. He left me a voicemail stating that "he wouldn't meet with me and they just want their money back. That's that." Come to find out, since my mom took the check to Frankenmuth Credit Union, the money belonged to them. Frankenmuth Credit union was very professional and was very willing to work with me. Ends up, my mom did not owe any of that money back because policy wasn't followed. My mom no longer uses Lake Huron Credit Union and I 100% do not recommend for anybody. I've never dealt with such unprofessional "businessmen" in my life.
