So after 3 requests it was still one of the last rooms done? On top of it all the pool was closed, so the kids couldn't swim!

Breakfast was great with a variety of choices each morning. Pool was typical for the hotel size and located right next to the elevators. Pool area was clean with a rest room attached. Only concerns were the lack of a hot tub and a limited supply of towels next to the pool on both stays at the hotel. Room quality was excellent. The only issue experienced is that one of the rooms did not have a functional outlet/charger port next to the TV. Staff & Service Probably one of the friendliest staffs I've experienced at a Hampton in recent years. Staff were knowledgeable about the local area and happily provided recommendations. I complained about it because I was quoted $133. The nice lady on duty in the morning corrected my bill. And those prices had a AAA DISCOUNT. Geez that didn't help much for a lower price. They need to get more affordable motels there.

I dealt mostly with Donna, who was very accommodating and helpful in a stressful time when she seemed to be the only person working. She managed to keep breakfast stocked (a typical eggs and sausage affair) as well as manage the desk. My room was nice and left little room for complaint. On that note, the internet was very slow at times but overall that was not an issue.

The room we got was perfectly fine. The room was clean and updated despite what the pictures showed so that was a nice surprise. It was quite warm the weekend we were there so getting the room to feel comfortable was a challenge for a lot of people in our family and their rooms. My parents were at the opposite end of the hallway and their room was one of the first to be cleaned. The woman came into clean as they were leaving and my parents tried to inform her that the AC stopped in the middle of the night and were met with a grunty response. The woman working the front desk is not the nicest of ladies and could definitely benefit from being a bit more welcoming, but the hotel itself was fine, and also basically the only option nearby.
