The first weekend featured locally grown vegetables and fruits; baked goods; potted herbs; eggs; plants; fresh pork. The quality of everything we purchased was excellent (the pork sausage and bacon were especially nice). The cupcakes from Southern Sweets were some of the best cupcakes I've ever eaten.

I like farmers basket for their fresh and better food court options but this was not it. I got the sautéed chicken which is usually a crispy chicken with a sweet glaze on top. This one had a citrus flavor and was saturated in ton of sauce. The veggies were salty. It was just overall a really bad look. I will never go back to this location.

Farmer's Basket is pretty good for food court standards…read more Located in the food court at the Town Center Mall, Farmer's Basket is a quick service chain eatery serving up a variety of Southern style dishes and items, hot and ready to be served from behind the glass display window. There are several locations in GA and AL, mainly located in mall food courts. I stopped here for dinner takeout around 8:35 PM after a late evening of shopping at the mall. They gave me a food sample of spicy chicken before I decided to order dinner takeout. I ordered the posted special, which was Any 2 Chicken and Any 2 Sides for $6.49 plus tax. I chose Sauteed Chicken & Spicy (& Sweet) Chicken (breaded) with yellow rice and collard greens. The portion of food was generous, hot food was piled and packed into a square styrofoam box, it was almost closing time. The food was pretty good and the main dishes had sweet & spicy flavors, chicken pieces were tender. The yellow rice was cooked just right and the collard greens were seasoned nicely. There was enough food for dinner and for breakfast the next morning.

I'm so disgusted that the market would allow this when hard-working people like myself who home grow their own food and have been loyal to this market for years can't possibly complete the store-bought produce.. the spender has never been here and as I said the stickers are actually on the produce. This guy is selling bananas and pineapples? So much for a farmer's market or homegrown anything I guess
