I absolutely adore Virginia Tango. If you are looking to start dance lessons, look no further,…read moretango is the way to go. Anna and Cristian are the dynamic duo dream dance teachers. They make dancing fun for any level. My first interaction with them was a free tango class at a PR event. Their dance and teaching chemistry left me in awe. I knew I wanted to take classes with them at some point. Fast forward to end of 2025. My fiancé (who "does not dance") fell in love with tango after a free trial. I adore dancing so was super excited he was interested. We ended up signing up for their Super Beginner Easy Start Course Tango class that took it as a slow pace for non-dancers. This was the perfect intro. We then decided to sign up for their monthly tango membership where we take their Level 100 classes. At this time, they have Level 100 classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm. After class they do a really cool technique class called Tango Power Start. This place is more than a dance studio, it's a community. They offer milongas too (an Argentine social dance event). My fiancé and I are the type of people who like being able to walk or bus to a place, we live in the city and this is in Midlothian. We love this studio so much that the drive is worth it for us. I highly recommend taking tango classes here. You'll learn so much and have lots of fun in the process.

Virginia Tango is a must-try for the Midlothian, heck, the Richmond community. Anna and Christian…read moreare the co-owners and instructors for one of the most beautiful dance styles in the world. They are decades-long studiers of this beautiful art and are beyond prepared to break it down to any level of student, whether you have a dance background or are a super-beginner (like me). Within an hour you'll not only find yourself lost in the lesson and having fun, but you'll feel entirely confident in your ability to pick it up and... you'll like be hooked. The space is very nice. A private glass-walled studio in a cool part of town, near the Village of Midlothian. There's also nearly endless parking. I can't say enough about the kind and genuine nature of the instructors and their ability to share their world with you as a student. Classes are based on a semester style schedule and are very well priced. A+ 100% 5-stars

FYI, this is my first time doing Hot Yoga, my second time taking a yoga class in about 6 years so I…read morepretty much don't know anything about yoga besides what I see on tv. I need to explain my physical background/active (not so active..) lifestyle for those people who are considering doing this for the first time. I haven't gone to gym in about 3 months prior to Bikryam, and I occasionally ride my bike casually around my neighborhood for about 3 or 4 miles. My body type is slim, but that doesn't mean I am fit. My endurance isn't great and I am still working on alot of workouts to improve my strength. Hot Yoga: about 30 people in one room set at 105 degrees. Not sure how the humidity is but they did have dehumidifiers in there. Class is 90 mins long and is considered to be an intermediate level of yoga. There are two sets of each "pose" and with barely no breaks between them besides a quick breather. Instructor states if you don't think your body can do it, don't push yourself too much and just sit down or relax. I didn't take that advice and after about 20 mins in I starting feeling really nauseous and lightheaded. I had to leave the room and stay out there for about 30 mins before i came back in.. I felt like I was going to faint. It wasn't that my body physically couldn't do it though. I came back in and just lied on the floor for the rest of the time. The instructor, Rachel, is extremely friendly and understanding. She knows quite a few people are new to this and knows that we're at different levels when it comes to yoga. Everybody was just so friendly there and a few of patrons also told me to keep trying and come back next time. 14 bucks for the first hot yoga session for students which I thought was a pretty good deal. If this is your first time, they give you a free yoga mat/towel to use. You NEED to bring a water bottle but they do have their own filtered water there. You pay after the session is completed. They also have one mens shower and two womens shower I believe if you feel inclined to rinse after. P.S.- i think I would go again if they had a beginner level type of yoga and if it was only for an hour.
