I hired Crossroads Electric for a wiring update/remodel--not to fix unsafe conditions. There was no emergency. My electrical system was completely functional before they started. I paid approximately $15,000, and they quit after receiving the third $5,000 payment, leaving problems throughout the home. On the first day of the project, the electrician performing the service panel changeover told me he was legally blind and scheduled for eye surgery the next day, and he proceeded to switch the panel over without waiting for the utility disconnect keyholder, despite my objection. A few other examples: Uncapped, hanging loose, 240-volt live wiring in the laundry room Live uncapped receptacles, including one near a main doorway right where my dog slept We had to walk through the house ourselves with a tester identifying what was energized and cap wires ourselves for safety After tearing walls out at their direction, there was still a cut wire energized, in wall cavities inserted into a live rewired receptacle. The entire second story (about ~18 receptacles, 8 switches, and multiple appliances) placed on a single 20-amp circuitbreaker Wiring routed between floors through unconditioned garage space Multiple failed/arcing GFCI outlets, including one outside with a hole allowing water intrusion A laundry room light switch that must be ON for exterior lights and a bedroom receptacle/switch to work. Thankfully its a low ceiling because must unscrew lighbulb. Brand new apprentice left in house to work alone. They also told me walls had to be removed to the studs for rewiring. A second licensed electrician later confirmed that demolition was unnecessary, costing thousands to correct. After I asked them to return materials removed from my workshop, they stopped work and told me to hire someone else. A replacement electrician has estimated roughly $15,000 more just to completely remove and redo their work. I filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General, which opened mediation. Weeks later, they still have not responded. These are only a few examples. read more

So the guy that come out did an alright job in most everything. (This is a newly purchased house, with everything being fixed because of an inspection) however when replacing the electrical outlet in our kitchen he accidentally busted our backsplash. (Didnt say anything when he left) The owner did come out and tried to fix it but trimming the tiles and everything didnt help. He said he was going to get a grout guy to come out and fix it and they had a $125 doorbell fix that didnt need fixed that we talked about getting the money back for. Well it's been a couple months and I've still not heard anything back. read more

I do not recommend using this company. They have been out 2 times to repair something they installed 1.5 year ago using a cheap led strip for under my cabinets. Its still not fixed and they billed me 125.00 after they had to repair something one of their employees broke costing 250.00. Also that employee never let us know that he stepped through the ceiling in the garage, then she wants to blame me for not letting them know sooner. The lights are still not fixed and we'll need to go to another vender for it to be re-done. read more

A few years ago we hired Crossroads to add some outlets and put in some under cabinet lights. The first time we used them they did great. We hired them a second time to put in some can lights. Their worker put in the lights but stepped on our ceiling and made a hole. He left without tellings us. I showed the person who finished the job and he agreed the Crossroads worker made the hole. The person who made the hole doesn't work with Crossroads anymore. After less than a year, part of the under cabinet light stopped working. They sent a man to fix it and charged $75.00. He could not fix it because he did not have the right part. They came a second time and charged another $75.00 and still couldn't fix it. We ended up fixing the problem ourselves and only paid for one visit. They have now put us in collection for not paying the second visit fee for a problem they could never fix. read more

I would definitely recommend Crossroads Electrical Services. Prompt service, great work and reasonable price. Cody Nickless was very respectful, explained what he was doing and what it would cost before he did the work. I was very pleased that he showed up when he said he would and completed the work timely. read more
