I really enjoyed this place . We went in on a Friday evening about an hour before closing time. I expected the buffet to be skimpy since it was late but no, there was plenty of hot fresh food and they had no issues making sure everything was filled and waiting on people to get what they wanted . Catfish was amazing . Tarter sauce tasted home made and the Hushpuppies (we call them corn fritters in Alaska) were some of the best I've ever had . Thank you for having mustard available- not everyone understands that need- I was not crazy about the coleslaw but I think I'll still try it again I might end up really liking it . The green beans were good the chicken was delicious and I even tried the banana pudding - it was tasty and I normally don't care for it much. Honestly it is one of the best "down home country" buffets I've been to outside of North Carolina. Well done indeed. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

This has always been one of my absolute favorite places for some good southern food! First time to review the food, but had always been consistently great over the past 5 yrs! The fish is the absolute best in town, hell the best in a 20 mile radius I guarantee! They have an all you can eat buffet and also combo meals for take out if you prefer. First let me say the ladies here are the best and sweet as can be. They took great care of us. The Price: Are you F'n kidding me? Almost $18 a person for the most mundane buffet I've ever eaten. Pretty much everything here is 50/50. Some is good, some......meh, not so much. The catfish was heat lamp "fresh" and the shrimp was pasty and bland. Still dumbfounded how a country buffet doesn't have rolls or biscuits. For price I was expecting a few more options and much better quality. There really wasn't much that stood out. There were a few items that seemed fresh and properly done. The Hushpuppies, fries, corn on the cob and fried shrimp were good. I can't say this place is gonna be on our "visit again anytime soon" list. Some people may love this place but it's just not my cup of tea. Honestly I expect much more for my money than a hit or miss buffet. read more

Good food, good people. They are always busy so the food on the buffet is constantly being restocked which means you're getting fresh, hot, delicious food. Not the best place if you're on a diet since most everything is fried, but man is it good. I saw someone mention that they don't have dessert. They have a small dessert selection that includes banana pudding, chocolate pudding, ice cream with toppings, and usually one other hot dessert. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Cabot. The service is always wonderful and they really care that you have had a valuable experience. The food is wonderful and it's US catfish so that's a plus. After hearing lots of recommendations to give this place a try, my husband and I had dinner here in early December. Honestly we would've been a lot sooner if not for the bizarre hours of operation. You never know when they will be open. When they are open they are always busy, but that's a good thing because it keeps the food fresh and restocked. There was plenty of seating and the staff were those small-town-treat-everyone-like-family types which was nice. There wasn't a huge good selection, but a decent variety. There was fried catfish, couple types of chicken, soups, hush puppies and shrimp, fries, several kinds of beans, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, salad bar, dessert bar, etc. The food was good. It reminded me of a big dinner you would have at your grandmother's house. The price to eat was average, nothing to complain or rave about. We enjoyed ourselves and I'm sure we will return in the future. read more

The price is pretty high for what they offer. The food was so bad that I opted to leave the restaurant hungry and pay somewhere else to eat. I paid 11.99 a person and the only thing I liked was the filtered water. I have eaten at school cafeterias and been more satisfied. They didn't even have real creamer for the bad coffee. On Sunday buffet is $12.99 which includes drink but WAIT...drink included is only water(which should be free), sweet or unsweetened tea. If you want soda it's $1.99 on top of the $12.99 buffet price. WHAT!!!! Kids are $5.50/$6.00 again drink like lemonade is EXTRA. If you want to go cheap with kids eat on Wednesday kids eat free under 12 yrs. No senior discount. I recommend go to Popeyes save some money or cook at home. Chicken tenders are mixed in same. Dark tenders are spicy and mild are lighter. Told lady at front sorry your prices are high. Not good for family on budget or seniors that are on limited income. Anyway this is an honest review so please be advised before coming here to def know what's expected. !!!! I love this place, Great food, Nice big new building. A little off the beaten path but well worth the drive. Best Catsifh in town althought their hushpuppies could use a little work. They just taste like deep fried cornbread, sorta low on flavor. They need to add a little sugar and onions. Lot of other food on the buffet as well, chicken, Southern fried steak, shrimp. The do have a small selection of deserts, icecream, two or three defferent flavors of pudding. Service here is great but most of it is help yourself.
