I'm 25 and finding Miracles in Action was a turning point for me. If you're looking for an…read moreaddiction and mental health treatment center in Northridge, CA, this place genuinely delivers. From the first call, the team was supportive, professional, and easy to talk to, which made starting treatment way less intimidating. Their Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) are structured but realistic for real life. They focus on substance abuse treatment and mental health care together, including anxiety, depression, and dual diagnosis, which made a huge difference for me. Group therapy felt relatable and practical, and the clinicians actually explain things in a way that sticks. The environment is welcoming and respectful, not judgmental or overly clinical. They offer flexible scheduling and telehealth options, which helped me balance work while staying consistent with treatment. Insurance was accepted and clearly explained, which took a lot of stress off my plate. If you're in your 20s and searching for outpatient addiction treatment, IOP, or PHP in the Northridge or Los Angeles area, I highly recommend Miracles in Action. They focus on real recovery, mental health stability, and building tools that last beyond the program. Top it all off they do breath work and sound bath every week with a proper instructor!!

The facility is clean, calm, and welcoming, which made it easier to stay focused and present during treatment. Communication was clear and consistent, and I always felt informed about my schedule, care plan, and next steps. The therapists, doctor, and counselors are highly qualified, certified, and deeply experienced in recovery. What stood out most was how individualized the care felt. The staff genuinely takes time to understand each person's situation and adjusts treatment accordingly rather than using a one size fits all approach. Beyond traditional therapy, the program offers additional support that made a real difference for me. Weekly sound baths and guided meditation helped me slow down, reset, and gain mental clarity. Those sessions became an important part of my routine and overall progress. They are also in network with insurance, and the team was transparent and helpful with coverage, which removed a lot of stress during an already important time. Connecting with other patients, it was clear how impactful this program has been in their day to day lives as well. As I prepare to discharge, I feel grounded, supported, and more confident moving forward. I would strongly recommend this program to anyone looking for high quality IOP or PHP care in the San Fernando Valley. Thank you for being there when I needed guidance and support the most.

I was lucky to have Christi O and George as my treatment team. Mary Jane, an outstanding CNA made sure my daytime hours went well. And Maria Parada never missed a thing. My medication nurse shared her nephropathy experience with me resulting in a new medication for my case, At night our RN supervisor Destiny covered us like a warm blanket. Stephanie was a headphone hero! Marta often does double shifts. Christina made sure I worked hard in my rehab sessions. The social workers are really good. Shen brought my iPhone back to life after a hard fall. My caseworker and I shared the same surgeon creating a bond that will last for the rest of my life. CC was my first CNA and made a wonderful opening impression of the facility. When it came time to leave Lindsay Rodriguez packed me up. Everyone at North Hills loves their job. If your looking for quality heath care in an outstanding environment North Hills is worth a serious look.

I'm happy to say we had a very positive experience over the 20 days my dad was there. First off it's super clean, the staff is so friendly and helpful and they were very attentive to my dad. PT was wonderful! My dad has lower extremity Parkinson's which means he has struggles with balance and walking but Bobby and his team were so patient and compassionate with him. They really helped him achieve all his goals. All the departments were friendly and accommodating with any questions our family had. I highly recommend Northridge Care Center!!

There is a pretty bad language barrier on the 3rd shift. I was in there for knee replacement surgery and a couple of the CNAs during the night shift didn't under the phrase ICE PACK. Communication is pretty bad with two of the nurse supervisors. I won't mention them by name, but I think it's time for them to find other work. One of them almost made me miss a very necessary surgery and didn't bother to let me know that they were having problems faxing information over to the surgery center. I was having problems with a very loud neighbor across the hall, and the weekend night nurse supervisor said that if I didn't like it that I could go elsewhere. Apparently, she got written up for that. We did not speak after that. On the whole, the staff tries to do the best they can under the understaffing circumstances. Some of the CNAs are golden. The nurses are unbelievably giving with the brief time they have to offer. The housekeepers do a terrific job. The kitchen staff was very helpful. The monthly "candlelight dinners" were pretty cringe and while they're trying to do something special, I found myself wanting to leave every ten minutes. I think they went with the most mobile people. Pro tip: lose the Karaoke. Sweet gal who tries her best, but no. Just. No. I shared the bathroom with the patients next door. Both staff and the patients next door walked in on me doing my business more times that I care to remember. If you're going to see the show, buy a damn ticket! LOL. Or... learn to KNOCK. It's not that hard to raise your fist to the door. Unless you're missing a hand or something, then kicking is entirely appropriate. The Physical Therapy team was terrific. They went above and beyond. They recently had their yearly inspection from the City of LA. They ranked a 3. According to the people I spoke to who were in charge of the inspection, Northridge is one of the better Nursing Homes in the area, and that scares me. I did my best to treat everyone there with kindness and respect. I saw Alzheimer's up close with some of the patients. A stroke patient screamed like a siren. The patient across the hall from me is verbally abusive to the staff and they have to just shut up and take it. During the final days of my stay there I was this close to letting the bully have it. Now that I have had a chance to decompress, They did the best they could do with the resources they were given. I would not go there, however, if you have been injured or are recovering from surgery. I had knee replacement surgery and there was no structured plan in place to help me to get from point A to point B except to go to Physical Therapy. So I was on my own.
