With hard introspection, and a willingness to learn, Lynette helped teach me how the traumatic events in all my formative years, had caused me to adopt negative, self-defensive ways of avoiding real engagement with people. I had very little self-esteem or value for my own talents and worth, as a human being. I experienced quite a transformation, and, at 68, have been a caretaker, volunteer, and a human rights activist, here in Bloomington, Indiana, since our therapy ended in 2000. I owe her my life, though it may sound dramatic! Thank You, Lynette, you are the most brilliant, sensitive counselor I have ever known! :-)

We got further in a few sessions of EMDR than years of talk therapy and the accelerated pace brought immediate mental relief. After one session, my nightmares stopped. So we went to Saffrone Emerson for marriage counseling. I only went about 6 times. Going to her was the worst mistake I've every made. I left for a planned vacation with our daughter and he wouldn't even speak to me on the phone. He said I've been going to counseling and I don't want to be with you anymore. So upon returning from my trip my husband had moved out. He was going to her twice a week while I was gone for three weeks. She made him realize that he didn't love me anymore after 20 years. Which I asked them not to meet without me because it was marriage counseling! Not one on one counseling they both knew this. This all happened within three months. If you're looking to save your marriage please don't go to her, find someone that is still married. I really hoped she would've helped my marriage but she didn't.
