The athletic club has a very familiar feel to it- the staff recognize individual patrons and get to know you naturally; nobody is trying to charm or upsell you and everyone is kind and welcoming to my children. The babysitting room being included with membership and not a separate fee (as at the majority of gyms) is such an underrated feature that makes this gym accessible and family-focused. The equipment isn't bright and shiny, but I like it that way. I've found the pool to be well cared for. Overall the amenities are suitable for getting the job done and there's never been an instance where I haven't gotten an excellent workout.

So disappointing. They couldn't even find our paperwork we originally filled out either which was further frustrating. Only way to cancel is if you move out of state or is medical related? Which i think is bs, especially with how under maintained the facility is kept. One of the cardio runs in the lower lever has the ceiling caving in from people dropping weights above (one day, the ceiling was shaking while down in said room at one point) and everywhere smells like mildew.

Everyone is very friendly and encouraging. Obviously I wasn't in great shape coming in but the instructors (thanks, Katie!) have been so wonderful about helping with modifications when needed and encouraging me to push harder when I find something I'm good at. Class is different every day so I haven't gotten bored and I hurt after every class because I can put so much into it. I never thought I could feel like this after just an hour a couple of times per week. I feel so much stronger!!! Thank you so much for providing such a great program at such an affordable rate! I avoided many gyms because if the price but I just couldn't argue with $29/month for boot camp classes. I can't thank you enough! Looking forward to buying new clothes!!!

I have frequented gyms all over the U.S. and all over the world and PA Fitness at the Galleria is…read morehands down the worst I've ever been to.. The reason I rate this gym as the worst is not because it is the dirtiest, although cleanliness isn't a priority. I've been to gyms where you needed to get a tetanus shot before picking up the bar because of the rust caused by humidity. The reason this gym is the worst is because neither the owner nor the manager care about members' well being. I've been a member here for about 2.5 years and the handicapped lift for the pool and Jacuzzi have been inoperable the whole time. I am not the only disabled person being affected, but the owner couldn't care less. If any equipment breaks down, it is a month before it is repaired. In fact, there's one urinal in the men's bathroom that has been inoperable for going on 2 months now. All of the above, I can deal with although it is hardship getting in and out of the pool. However, the one thing I refuse to tolerate is being bullied and threatened by the manager of this facility (Jason Pfeiffer). Jason has threatened to cancel my membership twice for absolutely no reason! The last time was August 12th when he told my aide that if I complained to him about an issue, he was going to cancel my membership. The first time was one month ago when I confronted him about lying about me behind my back. I do not believe he would have behaved this way if I wasn't in a wheelchair. Maybe he's just antisemitic. After this incident, I emailed the owner and never received a reply, let alone intercede on my behalf. How the owner could allow a person like Jason Pfeiffer be the face of the franchise is indicative of a person who just doesn't care about his members' well being. To allow Jason Pfeiffer to be able to cancel memberships arbitrarily without cause just reinforces this fact. Update: Since my disability makes it difficult to speak, I contacted a friend to intercede on my behalf to ask Jason why he keeps threatening to cancel my membership. He talked to Jason and Jason then proceeded to cancel my membership and trespassed me. I had many friends at this gym. The owner refused to speak to my wife to try to get my membership reinstated. What kind of people are these to treat a disabled veteran so poorly for absolutely no reason?

Fees were comparable to the gym I left, so the time saving was the initial reason I switched. The reasons I've STAYED are that it's got great equipment, you rarely have to wait to use that equipment (meaning they've got enough of it), and it's pretty clean. For the money, it's a really decent place to get your workout in. Glad I made the change - it's made my life easier and my workouts better!

I've had nothing but problems with Crunch Fitness. I had issues getting my account set up properly…read moreand went months without even having a scan-in, despite having a membership. Eventually, I went into the gym specifically to freeze my account. I was told it would be frozen, so I left assuming everything was taken care of. Then I was charged anyway. I called and explained the situation, and I was told again that my account would be frozen. Despite being told twice, I was charged and am now being told that I will not receive a refund. What makes this even more frustrating is that I later found out that I was apparently given incorrect information about the process for freezing my account. If there was a specific procedure I needed to follow, I should have been told that the first time I went in. I did what I was told, tried multiple times to resolve the issue, and still ended up being charged. The lack of communication and accountability has been extremely disappointing. I also want to mention that I've had zero issues with the other staff here. Everyone else has been fine. My issues specifically have been with Juan, who was the person I had problems dealing with while trying to get the freezing issue resolved. If you're going to have a membership with Crunch, make sure you get everything in writing because apparently being told something by staff isn't enough.
