Joe listened and modified things for me so I could still get a great workout without further injuring my shoulder. Classes are focused and intense. Great for beginners as well as advanced. On August 25, 2025, I signed a 1-month membership contract with Pensacola Athletic Center (HS #14997) and paid $107.49 by credit card. The signed contract includes the cancellation rights under Florida Statute § 501.017 (the Health Studio Act). On August 27, 2025, within the 3 business day cancellation period, I delivered a written cancellation notice (which I sent via email and certified mail). Despite this, the gym failed to acknowledge or act on my cancellation. They did not confirm cancellation, did not refund or void charges, and subsequently adjusted my account to show a "past due" balance of $157--an amount higher than the original contract price. This is now somehow a past due balance of $166.50 and the only communication I get is that they are going to send this to collections. The gym has never provided a legitimate explanation, has not responded to my certified correspondence, and continues to assert I owe fees. This conduct violates Florida's Health Studio Act, including the statutory requirement to refund amounts when cancellation is timely. I have since requested that FDACS investigate this matter, require the gym to confirm cancellation in writing, correct its records, and refund any improper charges. Avoid at all costs, there is also no way to delete your information from the app (and the app is absolutely worthless).

Basically, any charge that is scheduled within the next 30 days is still charged to you after you request to cancel. This means that for me I will be charged 20 days after I requested to cancel. 20 days seems like plenty of time to process a cancellation, but nonetheless they still will charge my card.

I would honestly ignore Mary G.'s review, I have had nothing but great experiences here…read more While stationed at NAS Pensacola for about a year, I was consistently impressed with Razor's Edge Fitness/Crossfit Pensacola. The gym itself is a very well managed facility with plenty of the latest equipment, ample space for multiple WODs going on at the same time, and a shower/changing room. The gym is kept clean and is located in the middle of downtown, making it a convienient location from across the Pensacola Area. Gil Petruska, the owner, if very flexible with regard to membership to meet any member needs. There is generally good crossfit equipment at any gym, an this gym is no exception. However, what sets the gym apart is the atmosphere and the staff/coaches. Gil, the head trainer and owner, puts his heart and soul into his business providing high-quality programming, a welcoming yet competitive atmosphere and by genuinely caring for his athletes. The assistant coaches bring a wealth of certifications, knowledge and experience as well. There are many walks of life that compete on a daily basis at the gym - working moms, military, business people, aspiring college athletes and mostly people who want to become more fit and healthy. I highly reccomend stopping in for drop in if you are just passing through town or are trying to decide of the box is for you. I personnally think you'll end up finding a home away from home and be among like-minded, healthy people

Once my month was up I was hooked. Along with setting some personal nutrition goals I have lost 28 lbs and gained muscle. My hubby has lost 30 and gained muscle. We both feel so great. We can do everyday tasks with ease that used to make us winded. It has changed our life and we plan to continue to use this gym for years to come. Our favorite part is that we go three times per week for about an hour and we get stretching, strength training that is mixed with cardio (pretty legit) and there are usually at most 5 people in our group. For the most part there are usually around 3 or 4 including us. The trainers that we have worked with are motivating and push us but while we are working hard we are usually laughing our butts off (literally). It makes the workout go by so fast and makes us want to come back. Cindy at the front desk is always smiling and ready to greet you when you walk in. The owners are great and hard working. They are ALWAYS on site. That is usually the key to a great local business. They have just expanded the gym to make room for a great area for the group training classes. The entire staff is always smiling and saying hi and having a positive upbeat attitude. That helps a lot on days you don't feel like being there yourself. We always leave in a better mood. We have had to travel before and there was no problem putting our membership on hold. They just need to know in advance your dates and they are very accommodating. I highly recommend this place. It is more than just a gym for us. It has helped us develop a lifestyle we hope to continue for the rest of our lives. When I became a Chef about 6years ago I put on a lot of weight. I am getting my active lifestyle and energy back and loving it.
