Very organized, efficient, and worth it. I completed the on-ramp and proceeded to my first class. Very much worth the money and time

So I have waited until class #70 in a row for this review. First impressions were daunting and in…read morehindsight they were flawed by my insecurity. The Pure Barre location gives off a high end boutique feel and if you are the least bit insecure, you'll immediately feel out of place and like everyone around you knows you don't belong there. (Think Pretty Woman shopping scene.) I was greeted in a very friendly fashion and noticed that the surroundings were very clean and trendy. As I got set up by the instructor who was telling me about tucking and some of the basics moves, I quickly noticed that everyone around me could have been a teenie tiny spokesperson for Lululemon. Mirrors were everywhere and all I could see was my out of shape body. Suddenly the music came up and the instructor was telling us to lift our knees. Two minutes into the class and I was desperately looking for a way to escape this horrible thing called Pure Barre. All I could think was that I'd never make it through these "paper clip" moves. (I have been through boot camps, gone through intense plyometric workouts, pushed hard by my trainer and never quit...but I wanted to quit this torture.) I was now drenched ten minutes in and wanted out, but was stuck in the front of the room with mirrors everywhere and now the doors were closed to the studio and I was trapped. At the end of the 55 minutes I went home and vehemently told my husband that I'd never do that again...except after a week went by, my regular workout routine seemed so mundane and didn't give me nearly the burn and sweat that I got at Pure Barre in 15 minutes. So back I went. This time, I invested in their sticky socks and set my mind to push through the pain and the inevitable shake. I committed to myself that I would go for 30 days straight and then judge it. Over those next 30 days I have met so many wonderful people and have found the staff to be incredibly supportive and caring. While I don't have the Lululemon physique, I quickly realized the only one looking around was me. Pure Barre takes serious focus and a true PBer doesn't notice anything but what the instructor is saying and their positioning. After 30 days, not one injury and dramatic results came about. I also discovered that the class flies by. It is fast paced with great music. I then decided to continue this journey for another month vowing not to miss a day and here I am on day 70. I've lost 30 lbs and over 20". I have nothing but great things to say about PB Bradenton. The manager, Lauren, is a sweetheart who makes everyone feel special when they come in for the day and she offers killer classes. I take morning classes with Mandi and Bri - both of whom are amazing, fun and great instructors. (Mandi is always trying new moves so look out for some intense shaking and burning.) Yes, the price is much more than a gym membership-but you can't argue with the results. This is a great investment in me. The biggest tips I'd offer to those trying this out is to get a pair of shashi sparkly socks, take a towel, and get to class early for the best spots.

So utterly disappointed in this studio. Owner and front girls are out of their mind. They won't let…read moreme cancel my memebership.. even if you call and they TELL YOU you're not going to be charged, they will charge you anyways. I am in the middle of a case with my credit card because they refuse to let me stop! I am a business owner myself, and I work and live in bradenton, so I am in utter shock and awe that this is how the owner would treat a local with influence in this community. I tried being reasonable, I tried calling an ENTIRE WEEK before I was supposed to be charged, they told me I could cancel and then with no warning at all, charged my credit card AGAIN for $130. Did they call to tell me I HAD TO COME another full month? No. When I called to complain all of a sudden there is a 30 day requirement for cancellation, and she refuses to refund my money even after I was told I wasn't going to be charged. I cannot even express how shocked I was that the OWNER - Alex, would practice this kind of sketchy business. But beware. They will take your money and never let you stop paying.

CEO planet plfitness needs to recognize and see this cause it's such an honor to have her represent halls business. I have never seen such a devoted incredible employee. I don't care what yall pay her, double that immediately cause as a business owner that level of loyality and devotion is what brings half your gym. a local gem. She is the example of friendly, ready to help, available and above and beyond. I really would have believe she owned this gym. Keep her happy. If they had a just a almeda tip jar, yall would understand. I tried out three gyms in the area before choosing this one And it didn't even come close. LAF is closing soon and sr citzn senial. The CRNH is very bro grunt brooooo protein creatine bro ish. AYTME FTN IS TINY. Great but tiny. But this planet fitness is such a good freaking all around great gym. The gym is clean, the bathroom is always clean. Even on " full hours, it's always clean, beginner friendly and achievable. All the machines are smooth. A lot of beginner friendly machines, bunch of threadmills and stupid stair masters. I hate them but they do have a lot . From buff professional trainers, to 16 year old beginners. I have two teenager daughters that come with me, and they also really likes this gym. Teenagers are hard to impress.i love the partial enclosed specific work out areas. The booty workout area, is genius.even if I don't bring headphones, they have music and hardly any noise. It's not overwhelming. So many tvs options all with caption. The black spa is worth it. Don't be cheap it ain't worth it. The massages chairs, the hydro massage, the red light therapy and vibration rooms are phenomenal. They also have tanning beds and stand up tanning booth. Yall memberships would triple with spray tanning ... just saying. I don't like skin damage and I would love spray tanning. 5 stars and deserved

I was taking my gym bag and keeping it out of the way so I could carry my accessories but the club decided no gym bags so o decided to go to a real gym that actually lets people work out with needed equipment. Many pros and cons to this place. I went in to inquire about a membership and swim lessons. Met Ms…read more Cynthia at the front desk and she was so sweet and helpful. She answered all of our questions and more. She also let us take a tour of the place. We ran into Hillary at the pool who was also extremely helpful and nice. We had so much in common which made me feel like this was the place to be. The actual facility could use a facelift, but because of the people we met, we are going forward with joining. I wish there was an outdoor track and a better room for the kids to play in. I will come back to update about pricing and quality once we've been there for a bit.

I struggle with this one a bit. I really do love the YMCA and for a while, this one was terrific. I…read morecome down to Bradenton to perform every year and have had a YMCA Nationwide membership for about a decade. have never had an issue with using my membership at other YMCAs, but this time the Y let me know that I could come in for free the first time, but after that I would be charged 6.00 per visit. The front desk person was very helpful when I inquired further and she explained that since most of their clients are visitors, their equipment was getting used but they didn't receive any of the membership due money from visitors and it was really affecting them. While I appreciate this, it sounds like there needs to be more of an internal discussion within the YMCA nationwide program. We discussed some of the possible options and the easiest, though still inconvenient one, was to suspend my hometown account and then start up an account at the Bradenton Branch. However, there didn't seem to be a way to bypass the enrollment fee and so I would have to pay that and then ultimately close the membership down after my three month contract in Bradenton ends in January. It was one too many hurdles to hop over to join a gym I have already joined. While I respect that this YMCA needs to make changes so that their facility can continue to prosper, I am disappointed that a program the YMCA touts as "Nationwide" isn't really. The ability to go to YMCAs all over was one of the major reasons why my family opted to join.
