SM North EDSA's Slimmer's World is my mom's gym for years, and before she left for the US, she got…read moreme to enroll as well. I stayed there for maybe a year. I've moved since and SM North wasn't as accessible anymore. Looking back, the time I was enrolled in this gym must've been the time that I was in my best shape. PROS: It's conveniently located inside a mall, which might be a CON if you tend to wolf down food right after a workout since restaurants are easily accessible as well. But it's a good thing if you want to run errands right after; It's quite affordable if you make the most of their promos, like P3,000.00 for a three-month membership; That membership includes classes like Pilates, Zumba, Aerobics, and Yoga; It's well ventilated and air-conditioned. So even if everyone around you sweats, you don't feel suffocated by the different odors; The trainers assist you for the first month so you could get your personal program based on your needs. CONS: They don't really have state-of-the machines and equipment. Some of them need to undergo some maintenance procedures; The showers aren't really impressive as well. But at least it's clean and working; Gyms tend to get sweaty yes, but some of the gym-goers fail to spray and wipe after they use. Makes me want to skip using that certain machine; It gets crowded after office hours. TL;DR: Mid-class and affordable inside-a-mall gym that meets your needs.

Of course, they presented their offers which one can't resist. I got buy 1 take 1 , gave the other treatment to my friend. Amy said the treatment is 1 1/2 hrs. It was not1 1/2 hrs. Such a ripoff!! I started my treatment 1:10 pm and finished at 2:17 pm. And the girl who did my treatment, kept going out of the room for 15 mins . Not only that the quality of service, way not worth the money i paid. Nothing compared to the experience I remembered. I told Amy my disappointment. She didn't do anything except sorry. I told her they better give my friend a better service when she comes. What a fail , to end my vacation!!i should have gone somewhere else. I will never recommend!!! Waste of money. Home service which will costs 250/ hr is so much better

I woke up one day na parang "This is it. Magpapasexy na ako." Syempre nag-research muna ako kung…read moresaang gyms okay mag-workout, kung baga parang stalker mode ako girl. Ang number one criteria ko: may air-con! Hahaha! Hindi pala ako willing magpawis, bakit pa ako nagtangkang mag-workout kaya ano? After reading some reviews, nagpa-member na ako at Gold's Gym in Libis! Medyo mahal talaga yung Membership Fee sa Gold's Gym pero makukuha mo naman kung ano yung binayaran mo. It's worth it! Hahaha). For first-timers, I suggest na kumuha kayo ng trainers. Siya yung last trainer ko and hindi lang basta "trainer" ha, pwede mo rin siyang machicka as your new friend! Okay na okay rin si Benj (my mom's personal trainer) SOSYAL SA "MOM'S" TEH! Solved sa amenities, maraming machines at magaling na trainers! Stronger with Gold's talaga! PUSH

Been with Gold's Gym for a good while now. After coming back home from abroad (where I got really…read morefat - so sad haha), I decided to go back to Gold's. Been happy with my experience with the chain in general and have been working out in the BGC branch. That branch has been closed for some time though and my membership allowed me to go to another branch - this Acropolis one. The service and available amenities still remain good. They even now have a touch therapy area and, since I usually go at off peak hours, it had my pick of equipment. I was surprised though at the maintenance. It's gotten a little shabbier from my visit last year. Wish they could renovate or something. And wish the BGC branch opens soon.

Everyone seems to be getting fit nowadays and I believe that there is no better way of doing it…read moreother than eating right and getting proper exercise. I was an active member of Elorde Boxing Gym in Don Antonio back in 2010 to 2013 and of all the sports that I've been involved to, Boxing and Muay Thai training is by far the most strenuous and most calorie-burning physical exercise for me. Elorde has definitely sweated a hell lot of fat from me! The biggest weight loss I had was with their Muay Thai and Boxing programs. For sure, you've seen a lot of Elorde branches around the metro. I've tried Lagro, Katipunan and Don Antonio branches and I can tell that all maintains quality services and facilities. All of the branches were accessible to me but I find it more comfortable and at home with the trainers in Don Antonio because they train beginners and advanced students better than the others that I've worked with. They know how to engage and motivate their students one step at a time with proper combat and martial arts discipline and eventually hardcore training! Also, the best part about Elorde training is the mandatory post work-out massage that's surely gonna pass you out. If you're looking for an indoor activity to sweat you out this coming rainy season, I suggest you try Elorde Gym. To me, it's better to be fit with skill training than weights and other gym machines. Occasionally I'd still come here for special events. I came today because it was the only Fitness First gym I know open on Christmas day. The last time I was here was May 2015 so let's see if anything's changed. AIR-CONDITIONING/VENTILATION I remember writing on the club's complaint form a year ago because air conditioning was very bad. So bad that a lot of people would be leaving group classes especially RPM/cycling because it gets too warm in some parts of the room. But now it's very cold that I was shivering in the locker room. EQUIPMENT The tricep rope thing that attaches to the cable machine smells! Other machines were fine. Glad to see 2 preacher curl benches (gone in FF RCBC). Not all the workout benches used for the BodyStep class have the rubber that grips the floor! While they might be safe to use for BodyPump, be careful not to use them in Step classes. Bikes for RPM/Cycling are new-ish, can't complain about them. Yoga mats didn't smell bad. CLASSES I attended Crunch's BodyAttack and Ahlee's BodyStep class. Love both classes and teachers! It was my first time with Crunch who I think is one of the manager of the club. I kinda like the class atmosphere in this club, everyone's just doing their best to workout plus they seem to be enjoying what they're doing.
