I have only had positive experiences with KinderCare at both the Monroeville location where my…read morechild is currently and the US Steel building location. They always strive to do their best and have rigid checks and balances processes in place. Any time that I have ever had an issue, it was addressed with professionalism. I started sending my child here after pulling him from a daycare that I found to be more hindering to my child's development as opposed to helping him. He began to thrive after the switch to KinderCare Monroeville. I knew that this would be where I sent my daughter when she was ready to start daycare too. When there is an incident, I always receive a detailed incident report. They let me know every day what my child has eaten, when she naps, how many times her diaper was changed, the activities that she participated in and much more. The staff offers activities throughout the year to keep the children engaged and interested. Activities for the children and parents include food truck rally, taco Tuesday, trunk or treat, etc. This daycare is a corporation and has a lot to lose if they do not follow the strict federal, state and local guidelines and procedures. They take time to educate themselves and have professional development each year. While no place is 100% perfect, I feel that this is 100% the right place for my child.

With the 1st injury I tried to say ok kids are kids and things happen; but things just kept getting worse. I gave them a chance but should've known when they basically said they will not do anything about children getting hurt because they are kids. This is not acceptable is that he is continually getting scratched and scared up at a place where he is supposed to be learning not having to defend himself. The staff there are a disgrace and will hold a vendetta against your child if you complain to Kristen the director. They do absolutely nothing to prevent fighting or even hiring more trained teachers. Now my grandson has a gauge in his face from the daycare. I'm so glad I pulled him out today and will be contacting the state to file a formal complaint. Under no circumstances should anyone ever send their child there unless you want them hurt on a weekly basis. Oh and they also have trouble providing and producing incident reports which are required by law. Run!!!! find any other daycare other than KinderCare in Monroeville. Save yourself the money.

My daughter went to Keystone Montessori for three years until Kindergarten and we cannot be more…read moresatisfied with this introduction to her education. I find that the Montessori program has provided a very strong base for my child both academically as well as her individual personality. She is very independent, self - confident and academically sound (maths, language and social science) due to this experience. Prior to Keystone Montessori, my daughters had gone to a regular preschool for a year. A few things very typical of a Montessori program, which I thought would be beneficial for my child, helped me decide to choose it over a regular preschool eventually: 1. Unlike a regular preschool, one doesn't find plastic toys at a Montessori, but specialized education materials that enable children to apply themselves or a particular skill. I remain impressed with these materials, which allow a child to practice skills ranging from motor to math. For example, at the age of 3, my child was perfectly capable of pouring herself water from a glass jug (thereby also making her more independent) and at the age of 6, she perfectly understands the concept of multiplication and division because of the respective activity boards. 2. The mixed age classroom allowed my November born (missing the cut off September month) child to learn at her own pace. It also gave her the opportunity to learn from kids older than her during her initial years and eventually teaching her younger friends as she came into her kindergarten year. This was a valuable experience for her. 3. I also found the classroom environment very calm, easy to absorb and sensitive to a child's requirements in that way, very unlike the collage of images and information one typically finds in preschools. 4. My child has always been spirited. I thought the Montessori approach, which nicely balances freedom/ independence (student choice of activity, the constructivist or 'discovery' model) and discipline (approach to work) would work well with her personality and become a good base for her learning years ahead. We were particularly impressed with Keystone Montessori because we have found the program very consistent with all that it says on its website and the Montessori Philosophy. The owner and head teacher of the program is very child focused and passionate about this method of learning, which reflects in the school experience. Also commendable is Keystone Montessori's adherence to eating healthy snacks (no cookies or cupcakes on their snack list). One might think it insignificant, but I feel it is a small detail like this, which gives me the confidence that my child is a part of a learning environment that is nourishing and holistic in every way.

Newlonsburg seemed to be in the win for all categories. The teachers have been absolutely wonderful and manage to consistently stay in communication with the parents. The programs and events they organize for the school shows the amount of care and support they have for these children. My son is thriving here and genuinely looks forward to coming every single week!

In all fairness, I have been voting at this location for the past decade and up to the Primary Elections of 2016 rarely had to wait longer than a few minutes. However since the resurgence of people voting in the past three elections, I have waited in excess of two hours to spend 30 seconds casting my ballot. Let me start with the bad. It's all bad. First you stand in a ridiculously long line that begins all the way down a hill. This line wraps down and around the building. As you wait you are accosted by many strangers and strange politicians wanting to hand you literature while parading around in a "make America white again" hat and giving you "tips" on how and who to vote for. Sorry people drive me nuts. Yea buddy I have been waiting in the cold now for over an hour and it hadn't occurred to me as to what I am doing and who I am going to vote for. This isn't a restaurant, I am not looking for recommendations at this point especially from you so unless you are handing out a deeply needed cup of hot coffee MOVE ON... Once you actually make it through the ridiculous line you are met with the two oldest people in the county that hand write your name into a ledger book. After several attempts of saying and spelling my name, marked with confusion such as Terry? Did you say Mary? Kerri, with a K? No, I said a C. Is that two R's? Yes... Awe finally, now go to the next line... Now the next line you get to locate the person representing the book that contains a range of voters. You know the A-F, G-L, M-R, and so one. Of course my line has a lady who can't be located. I patiently wait because what's another 5 minutes when you have just stood outside in the cold, dark PA weather for the last almost 2 hours. Finally I move up. Report my name, locate it before the volunteer, then sign and take my number to now the last waiting post, my final destination. I wait for another volunteer to take my little number then take me to one of the vacant machines, mind you there were hundreds of people in line, 6 total machines, yet only about 3 being used. I cast my vote and 20 seconds later I am bolting out of there. Long story short, get out and vote, just not in my over registered under staffed precinct. I think all these "coming out of the wood work voters" should step up and volunteer. I bet a lot of them have tons of free time on their hands while posting hate messages on-line in their basements. 3 Stars cause the church is probably a great church and this review shouldn't reflect them negatively.

The teachers have always been very warm and attentive to both our daughter, and all of the other students. We receive pictures and videos throughout the day to update us on how she is doing, and a daily report soon after we pick her up. The only complaint I have ever had is that they do tend to respond to calls or e-mails relatively late, but that's because they're attending to children all day. On top of that, the staff is available to talk anytime you pick up or drop off your child, so response times really aren't a problem, at least for me. The building is also very secure, which is great. Nobody from outside can get in without a fingerprint scan or the parents contacting the school in advance, and the administrators are good about making sure the door stays secured. I really can't say enough about the teachers though. Our daughter is in the three-year-old classroom, and the teachers are always incredibly welcoming when she comes in. If she's having a slow morning and feels shy, the teacher sits with her until she feels comfortable. And when the school does events with parents, which I'm sure can be stressful on the staff, they never let that show; they're always as warm and attentive to the kids as ever. After moving to the area over the summer, we spent several weeks touring different facilities before coming to this one. It's a little bit out of the way for us, but we have no regrets whatsoever. I would highly recommend them.

First let me say every one was nice when we went there they did a good job at making us feel good about our baby being there. the employees wear shoes in baby room with no clovers and food stuck on the bottoms, when it came up in conversation she said the shoes don't go outside but they do walk around where the older kids are and their shoes are outside and there's food on the floor quite often. You could see food stuck on the bottom of her shoes. we got charged for 3 days because that's the minimum. We only needed 2 days so 360.00 for 2 days a week, they told us the reason why we have to pay for 3 days is because they hold her bed and keep it only for her but at 6:15am on a Tuesday which was her schedule day they knew she was coming at 6 my baby being very sleepy I got there wanting to put her in her crib and 3 dirty Boppy pillows from the other baby's and the floor mat where all in her crib this was the last day we were there, I pulled them out but couldn't tell the teacher because she's never there at 6 she comes in later I'm told so there is no baby room teacher at 6 AM even though they're scheduling babies to come in at six, the toddler teacher was very nice but having the toddlers in the baby room made me a little worried because toddlers tend to bite. We were told that they had no contact information for us but they had called my boyfriend the day before. It felt a little on organized I really don't wanna nitpick because I do feel like all the teachers were pretty nice they just don't follow the rules of the health department and the place is just not very clean And I guess their paperwork Dirty shoes in baby room, no shoe covers I was told that her shoes walk around only in the daycare but that doesn't make me feel better because they also walk around where all the older kids walk as well and the older kids have shoes on that are from outside so you're still picking up the germs from outside.., and walking on top of the food in the older kids area whenever they're eating the shoes had food stuck on the bottoms, Also my daughters crib they always use to put all the stuff in at the end of the day even on days when she's there I was told by another parent who sent me pictures that The floor mat at the end of the day gets put in there. so thanks for letting my baby's crib be the dirtiest crib she's sick after 2 days of going there I'm done 360 for 2 half days of daycare
