Cypress Roofing and Exteriors stone/concrete Veneer Feedback: 25 Nov 2025 Our overall comment is,…read morewhen we agreed to do the work, we were told we could expect expert masonry craftsmanship. What we got was sloppy, careless mudwork. The crew didn't know how to do our veneer masonry job and refused to do what I and Gino (job overseer) and Chris (estimator/on-site lead) asked them to do even after showing them pictures of what we wanted and said make the job look like the picture. The biggest issue was that after asking Chris and Bob (estimator) to make sure the leader on the job spoke understandable English, never did an understandable English-speaking person work at our job. Gino showed up a few times, listened and agreed with what we were asking for, but never stayed on the job to make sure it was done correctly. This caused all the following problems. They used wrong cement for everything; Type N was supposed to be used as the base coat for attaching the veneers and Type S Colored was supposed to be used for the mortar joints. The crew did just the opposite! Even after being told numerous times by Gino and me. The crew also had to be told to wet the backs of all the veneers; they didn't know to do this essential step to assure the veneers adhered to the base coat. First day was good, except for the splooge on the edges of most of the veneers, plus they didn't have the right tools for the job. I gave them rubber mallets to affix the veneers to the wall without breaking. Although some breakage did occur. They cemented the man-door to the outside crawl space shut. They installed broken stones, but replaced them only after I and Josh Robertson (owner) said they needed to be replaced. Crew didn't know how to do the job. After second day they stopped putting on the skim coat. They didn't understand what I was saying nor did they do what Gino told them to do. One guy, William, would not acknowledge that they had to remove the stone they'd just put up wrong. Ian, the foreman, didn't understand what was needed and wouldn't make William do the job correctly until I had to shout at Ian to get William to replace the stone. I ended up having to get Cris and Gino to direct them to remove and replace the mis-cemented veneers. They destroyed 60 sq ft of veneer stones getting the stone off. They continued to apply the veneers with lots of splooge and didn't remove the mess while it was wet. So, they had to chisel, with a phillips head screw driver (not the correct tool for the job), the dry, hardened splooge out by hand to try to apply the joint mortar properly. After that, the joint mortar was not applied properly so the edges of the veneers were not clean and totally visible, which is the way the job should have been done. Chris, Bob and I all agreed with that, but it was never applied to the job. The joint mortar was also too wet and caused too much joint mortar in a lot of joints. The crew should have known better and gotten all the splooge out. Gino came by to tell the crew how to properly mix the joint mortar with sand and a little less water. The crew still used too much water in the mix. They didn't use a tarp to catch all the chisled splooge coming off the wall and it was walked into the grass next to the wall, killing all vegetation next to the wall. They didn't clean the job site every day. They threw their lunch waste on our property even after I asked them not to because our dog was finding the refuse and eating it. The crew killed 4 plants in the front of the house by setting a box of stone on top off them. Because of all these issues, I ended up being the project manager, trying to get the crew to do the job right. Neither Gino nor Chris was here when they said they would be. I can't imagine what the job would have been like if I had not been there to watch and try to get the job was done right. I should have been paid for doing their job. We've received no satisfaction regarding removing the hardened mortar from the rock faces. The company won't return our calls or texts. My wife and I are quite dissatisfied and would give 1/4 star out of 5 stars for the veneer stone job on our home. Rob and Barney Martin

After severe storms rolled through my area over the past two months, my roof sustained enough…read moredamage to require a full replacement. I filed a claim with my insurance company, and Jagris, Inc. came highly recommended as a contractor. From the very beginning of the process, they exceeded my expectations. I've only filed two insurance claims in my life, this one and one a few years ago for an AC unit that was damaged by lightning, and navigating the paperwork can be overwhelming. Thankfully, Jagris and, specifically, JT Trousdale, made this experience smooth and worry-free. JT was professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He walked me through the entire insurance process, breaking down the complex jargon in the adjuster's report and helping me understand what to expect at each stage. There was never a moment when I felt unsure or alone in the process. Once the claim was approved, the contract between me and Jagris was clearly written, being simple, transparent, and free of the confusing fine print that is often found in home repair agreements. Next came the selection of shingles and options. I opted for a ridge roof upgrade, and the final result is fantastic. It not only looks great but will also help keep the house cooler. Jagris made the whole planning phase seamless. The day before installation, Jagris placed protective barriers around the house to prevent debris from causing damage and to facilitate easier cleanup. The installation crew arrived promptly at 6:30 AM. They were professional, organized, and experienced. Before starting, they walked the perimeter of the house to move any items that might be in the way, and they even covered the outdoor AC unit to protect it. I let them work, occasionally stepping outside to check in and offer cold drinks. Not that I would have minded, but no one asked to come inside the house. I was amazed by their work ethic and the speed at which they completed the job. By the end of the day, both the main house and the detached garage had brand-new roofs. The cleanup process was just as impressive as the installation itself. While it's nearly impossible to catch every single roofing nail, they did an outstanding job. I found only a few nails in the driveway, which is a testament to their attention to detail. Since then, I've mowed the lawn and done yard work without running into any issues. Jagris, Inc. is a company that delivers on its promises. Their professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care for their customers set them apart. I'll be using Jagris for any future roofing needs, and I recommend them without hesitation. JT, thank you for your dedication and support throughout this process, and Semper Fi, sir. Thank you for your service.

I have a "no soliciting" sign in front of my house. Even so, a representative from your company…read morejust rang my doorbell and claimed he wasn't soliciting because he was offering a free roof inspection done by drone. I don't appreciate you telling your employees that they can ignore my "no soliciting" signs because what they're offering is a "free" promotion. When a business makes me come to the door to listen to a pitch, it's soliciting. I put up my "no soliciting" signs because when I'm having a bad day with my health issues, it's a serious struggle to answer the door. Plus, I never can afford whatever is being pitched anyway. The "no soliciting" sign saves me the physical struggle and saves your business some time. Please tell your employees to respect homes that have posted "no soliciting" signs, even when they're pitching a "free" promotion.
