They would tell me they had to shave him completely after asking specifically not to. I was told once that if I didn't want him shaved down completely (because it made him sore and uncomfortable) that I was welcome to take him home and brush him better. For context I have been complimented by other groomers past and present on how well we keep him brushed. The staff is rude, they inexplicably take far longer than expected and will leave your dog sore uncomfortable and anxious to save themselves the "trouble" of doing the job correctly and humanely.

I took my 6lb Maltipoo to Sydney for a shave. When I arrived for pickup, I could hear a dog whining…read moreand yelling from outside. I initially didn't think the noises were my dog since she's not normally vocal unless a stranger is coming to the door. Upon opening the door, Sydney was sitting at the desk on her tablet and my dog was indeed the one whining and yelping in the kennel-she was the only dog there. Sydney told me how well behaved she was, how her body and head looked good but her legs had some mats- which I knew and we discussed at drop off. She was very long and in desperate need of a summer shave. I had just brushed her completely out a week or so before knowing how fast she mats when she's long. Knowing she was going in for a shave, I didn't stress as much this last week knowing any mats she would have wouldn't be bad enough/ tight against the skin to cause discomfort, just not look nice. When we returned home I noticed blood on my furniture, carpet and floors. I picked her up to investigate and noticed her front paw was very bloody and actively bleeding. I also noticed a small clipper burn on her chest. While I felt bad about the clipper burn, that was the least of my concern. I was very upset about why Sydney chose not to inform me of her paw so I sent a text message to her. She was very defensive, took zero accountability and even tried to blame the clipper burn on mats cutting off blood supply. If that were the case, why are there zero marks anywhere else on her body if she was so bad. When she decided to take no accountability for her actions, I asked for a refund, which wasn't my initial plan. I only asked after becoming so frustrated with her terrible attitude and trying to turn her injuring my dog around on me. She also told me to find a new groomer as I see someone else has posted. Absolutely irresponsible, irrational, immature and disappointing behavior from a business owner.

I can give my dog a better haircut than they attempted, and he is regularly groomed because he hates his leg hair/nails being cut and we prefer not to do it because of that. I included a note when I made them appointment that he hates his legs/nails buffed. He has been to the groomers dozens of times, and we have NEVER had this issue.
