Snoozing Pom!
Kamstar K.

Dr. Hubbard is so compassionate and caring! She took excellent care of my old little Pomeranian (who is my whole world) ! He's got a lot of health problems since he is 15 and Dr. Hubbard is really dedicated at providing him with the best possible health care and treatment. The staff is so friendly and diligent!

If you truly love your fur babies Don't take them to critter care. My Mazie got sick wasn't acting herself took her critter care said infection gave some medicine she wasn't any better so I took to her regular vet her wbc count was very low low platelets which was allowing her belly to fill with blood I was holding her when she took her last breath at 12:30 am !!! I'm heartbroken....if he would have just taken blood he said he didn't need to he was wrong !!! And my baby is gone

Nose after stitch removal by a tech

I have taken my fur babies to Critter Care for a long time now. My newest baby was just neutered and had nose surgery. He was sent home with no medication for discomfort after two surgeries. The receptionist was rude and messed up the billing. The stitches had to come out and his nose looks horrible. The staff have had problems taking care of my French bulldog properly, others are out right rude and some are just worried about taking pictures of my pup. Out of 8 dogs in 12 years the service in the last 3 years has gone down. to get the stitches out it took 3 hours at the office. I listened to receptionist answer the phone telling fur parents that emergency fees ranged from $30-$150. Depending on who she talked to the fee started at $30 or $50. Sometimes they had no emergency appointments available other phone calls they did. Now I know which client I am when I call. No appointment available for weeks, no emergency appointments. Just disappointed.

Another angle.

What an amazing professional clean environment . From the moment we walked in, August at the front…read moredesk greeted us with such kindness and empathy. She immediately put us at ease and made sure our dog would be seen and take care of . It was my first encounter with this clinic having just moved from Hawaii and her professionalism and care truly stood out and made me feel at ease. Khan , our family pet, had injured his back and ribs from jumping up and down from high furniture and was in obvious pain. This assessment was from a previous Veterinarian we had taken him 48 hrs earlier. Khan was experiencing alot of pain and shaking so we felt the need to have an emergency followup , possibly x-rays to see if there wasn't a deeper concern. Dr Paul and his team were incredible, they did a full thorough examination, gentle, genuinly concerned for Khan's well being. They examined him carefully, explained everything clearly and treated him with so much compassion. They explained everything clearly so they could assist us to help Khan recover. What was my unexpected take away from this visit was they didn't charge me, Yes, it was a followup of a 48 hr previous Vet care visit, yet that level of integrity and heart is rare to find. WOW! That kind gesture marked this establishment with true business integrity and being trustworthy with your pets that are part of the family. Dr Paul and August made what could have been a more stressful situation to one filled with relief and gratitude. We left this clinic feeling so reassured that his profession is one of helping , not just to treat the animal. Khan is already on the mend because of their exceptional care. We highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs trustworthy and compassionate, exceptional veterinary care. Thnak you Dr Paul for your kindness , professionalism and care! To your staff and especially August , such attentiveness and care as a first impression does not go unnoticed. You are exceptional! You've gained our trust! Melani Akuna

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the treatment I received at your facility…read morethis evening. I arrived at approximately 7:30 PM with my elderly cat, who was lethargic and severely ill. Despite being at an emergency clinic, I waited for over two hours while multiple patients who arrived long after me were seen and discharged within thirty minutes for seemingly minor issues, such as a rash. While your receptionist was professional and helpful, the attending veterinarian's behavior was unacceptable. When the receptionist motioned toward me and my sick pet, the veterinarian raised her voice and told the receptionist to give me "other resources" because this was an emergency vet. I am deeply offended that she dismissed my cat's condition without an examination, especially as I only sought emergency care out of fear that my pet would not survive the night. I have a primary veterinarian for my three dogs and cat, but I chose to trust your clinic during a crisis. Given the dismissive and rude treatment I experienced, I will not be returning to your business. I also intend to share my experience through local word-of-mouth and on social media platforms, including Google and Facebook. I hope you take this feedback seriously to ensure other pet owners are not treated with such lack of compassion in the future.

While we have been visiting PCB for a few years we recently moved down full time with our senior…read moredog. We had chosen Dr Norms for our veterinary care. Before we could have our first visit our dog had some issues that we could not understand and called into the office. They got us in that day and as it turned out we had to make the most difficult decision a pet owner can make. I cannot tell you how much Dr Norm and Darrian made the final moments with our girl as special as they could be. From the decor and furnishings of the office we were in to their thoroughness and tender care of the exam to the gentleness of the final moments, we could not have been more cared for, it was like they had known us and Seminole since birth rather than just meeting us that day. If you are in need of a vet and staff that truly care for your furry loved ones and for you, please look no further than this office. You will be glad that you did.

I would like to begin by stating that I believe Dr. Norm and his team are competent veterinarians…read more However, when it comes to more complex cases such as cancer treatment, the knowledge regarding care, side effects, and post-treatment support is lacking. If your pet requires this type of treatment, I strongly advise you to seek care elsewhere. My beloved pet, was recommended intravenous chemotherapy to help slow the recurrence. During our consultation, Dr. Norm did not mention that the chemo would also affect her red blood cells and platelets , leading to internal bleeding and severe diarrhea and dehydration that even with intravenous fluids, my fur baby wouldn't recover. after going to an emergency vet during our follow-up call with dr. Norms westside clinic, to inform them of her condition, we were informed that, even if we had experienced issues while close by, they were not equipped to treat them with blood or plasma transfusions. If the clinic can't support the fur babies for any and all WELL KNOWN side effects, then the medication they were administering should not be able to be administered at this facility.
